I'm still not sure I understand how/why Malichor V was destroyed the first time, or how the "fragments" of the planet still have atmosphere and can be crashed into. What the heck is the mass shadow thingie? I have to assume that Obsidian was up against a deadline and just sort of made the final levels "hack-n-slash" just to get it on the shelves by Christmas. I'm not terribly fond of Peragus or Telos either. I like it when I finally have choices on where I go next. Unfortunately, in contrast to KotOR I, this one almost has a "preordained" order in which the rest of the worlds need to be visited: Paragus--> Telos--> Duxun/Onderon--> Nar Shadaa--> Duxun/Onderon--> Dantooine--> Korriban--> Telos--> Dantooine--> Malachor I feel the original was a lot more "open-ended" in the middle.

No offense but dialog options are cr*p

There does seem to be a lot of "all or nothing" going on here. Nothing is 100% good and nothing is 100% evil. Things are never so binary. -
Very very sharp. Be careful.

Two Roads Diverged in a Yellow Wood...

Who's the new tragic heroine?

What about poor misguided Atris? -
"Hydro" means: connected with or using the power of water showing the presence of hydrogen "Spanner" means: 1. A wrench having a hook, hole, or pin at the end for meshing with a related device on another object. 2. Chiefly British-A wrench. "Hydrospanner" kinda sounds cool, but I am willing to bet it is some sort of perverted inside joke at Obsidian. Well, it's just mentioned an aweful lot. Each example by itself is nothing, but all of them together... (Minor spoilers below, so beware.) Like when you ask Bao-Dur about his arm, and he makes a joke about how it kept dropping his hydrospanner. Or on Nar Shaddaa, Tien(Is that his name) keeps mentioning a hydrospanner. "Where's my hydrospanner?", "If you use the workbench, make sure you put the hydrospanner back in its proper place", stuff like that. Or on Dxun, the mandolorian who's repairing things mentions stuff about hydrospanners. Something about how he was "never very good with a hydrospanner", I think. And isn't there an option for you to say something like "I'm very good with a hydrospanner, let me help"? Isn't there also something about using a hydrospanner to smash motivators on something? Can't quite remember where this occured, though. Not to mention the whole hydrospanner quest on Dantooine. And don't forget how when you fail to repair T3 at certain times, you can say something like "Whoops! Must have left my hydrospanner in there!" And also, when you install the pasifist package in HK-47, he mentions something like "Be careful, I have seen how you use a hydrospanner" Seems like I'm forgetting some. Edit: I also forgot, hydospanners are even in some of the cut content. In the HK-Factory quest that was cut, for example. One of the droids there was apparently supposed to help train droids for torture. This particular droid had a few programming issues, it seems, and mentions something about "Do not spare the fusion torch or hydrospanner!" in a deranged voice. Hydrospanners as torture implements... they're everywhere! <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I would have waited for a finished game

You seem to be under the impression that LA doesn't have any money...I don't think money is a problem. Apparently, they are of the opinion that the quality of the game can be less than stellar and people will still scramble to buy it...and they'd be right. Considering how much better the game could have been if LA had allowed Obsidian polish it a bit more, (not to mention how much more money it might have made) I find the "money excuse" lame. -

I'm not trying to start a flame war here, but the issue of KotOR2's inadequacies comes down to LA pressuring Obsidian to have the X-Box version ready b4 Christmas. If it weren't for that, I am certain the game would have been far more polished for both versions. -

The hyperdrive doubles as a toilet...just don't use it while in hyperspace! -
I'm tired of people calling anyone who wants to know when the patch update will be ready "whiners." (w00t)

Idle Thumbs' KotOR II review

That's flame-baiting... for Darth Lego. It makes me think that a PC version should have been nixed though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> -
New sketches! Unbelievable! (04/10/2005)

I would like to see a little more revealing Echani costume. Perhaps not quite true "see through" but a little more transluscent? In the jan-u-wine interest of uh, preserving the Echani customs, I'd have to suggest without... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I uh...have to second that suggestion :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> -
I too found that only one of the jedis I took with me to Freedon Nard's temple could interact with those areas. Perhaps it has something more to do with alignment or levels.

KotOR III: Dark Force Rising I would like to see the story go back and forth between the two sets of characters from the first two games. While The Exile has left to determine the fate of Revan, a new threat to the stability of the Republic emerges. Czerka Corporation is making a power bid for several inner systems, and tensions between the Mandalorians on Dxun and the Exchange are building. Events both inside and outside of Republic space are hurdling towards one another, and timing is everything. Something like that...
