  1. You guys can say what you want but the graphics on this game are far less than impressive, and the OP does have a point when all the reviews come out saying the graphics suck it will hurt the sales of this game, like I said I don't care about the graphics all that much, but a lot of people do (my best friend refused to play MAG because of it's half-assed graphics) I agree with macrocarl it won't affect the immersion, but DA's graphics are far better than what I've seen on previews and such, granted DA was filled with clipping issues, now I haven't seen any of that in any of the previews so I guess you could make the argument that AP graphics are better in that area, but then again I didn't see any clipping in DA previews either
  2. what are you talking about? Dragon Age doesn't have the best graphics but they're 10 times better than what I've seen of AP, however it's not really a problem for me, and the only immersion breaker is going to be the stupid yellow colors popping up every time you punch/kick someone, that's going to drive me nuts
  3. Really? well I'm not going to get crap for xp then, anyway was I the only one who didn't like the hand to hand fighting thing? that stupid looking yellow thing at the point of impact looked kind of retarded, other than that though it looked good
  4. Yea Bioware was definitely being generous when they said DA would take 60-100hrs, anyways I'm thrilled to hear the 30-60% bit because in DA I'm still finding new content and I've played through it 8 times, so I imagine it will take me much longer to get bored with AP
  5. That's why I never visit wikis until after I've beaten the game, I'm just happy Obsidian isn't forcing spoilers down our throats like Bioware did with DA, I knew pretty much everything there was to know about every one of the origins before the game came out and I tried really really hard to avoid spoilers they just made it all but impossible, luckily I know next to nothing about this games plot other than "you're a spy", I do wish they'd put up more about the skills and outfits though
  6. Agreed, at this point there's no way I could make a decision
  7. I get the intent of tension but I don't care for it and I still think the timer is too short to be realistic. As for the difference between the chosen reply direction and what is actually said I am well aware of what to expect.....I've played bot Mass Effect games out so far and though they give you a better idea of what will be said than AP it works in a very similar manner. I share your concern, like most things in AP it seems like a decent enough idea but if it isn't executed right it will be a disaster and quite possibly a game breaking one and if this feature turns out to be anything close to the way Heavy Rain worked I'll be returning it the day after I buy it (my characters NEVER did want I wanted them to later in the game and it completely ruined the game for me), and I totally agree with you about the timer irl there's no need to answer someone right away hell if I want to stare at you for 5 minutes before I answer your question, I'm going to do it, if I want to go into the next room and make some tea before I respond to you, I'm going to and when I'm selecting what my character says or does I would like to actually know what I'm making him say or do, but as long as it's relatively close almost all of the time and gives me enough time to analyze the situation and everything I'll be happy
  8. That doesn't sound too bad I'll probably get it now (but I'm holding onto the receipt just in case) and no I kind of despise MMO's just seems like a waste of time when I build up my skills just to build them up again..... and again, anyways thanks for the quick replies
  9. This has probably been asked and answered before but the forum search function doesn't seem to be working and I don't feel like sifting through the forums manually, so my apologies, but I've read up on this game I'm not that impressed but I like a few of the ideas behind it all and as always I never trust a game made by obsidian (sorry if that offends anyone) but to be blunt I've decided that whether I buy this game or not comes down to whether it has a new game plus type option or not I'm not a fan of going through the same "progression" over and over again and I don't like building up skills just to have them taken away from me and quite frankly I don't think this game is going to be worth 60 bucks if I have to start from square one every single playthrough
