October 6th, October 27th, October 16th? Well, it is clear all we have is placeholder dates. A month before the 'supposed' release and no confirmed hard date more than likely means it will not be landing in October. I mean come on, how many publishers wait until a month before their game is released to announce a confirmed release date? In other words, not a good sign, folks. I hope I am wrong here, but I am just looking at it for how it is right now. I think we will be lucky just to get it by December at this rate. No hard feelings toward Obsidian at all, as I love their work and this game is one of my most anticipated. But, I do have to say I think Sega is dropping the ball with Alpha Protocol. All this hush, hush and lack of info does not go a long way in helping to sell this game.

That countdown Pop linked us to certainly has me hoping so as well. I just wish we could get the official word.

Yeah, I have to say that I am not too keen on all of this hush, hush when the game is 'supposedly' going to be releasing in October. Why would Sega not want Obsidian to talk about the game when it is supposed to be releasing in just a little over a month? With the lack of info and no confirmed date as of yet, I hate to say it, but I am doubting we will see Alpha Protocol in October. Not trying to be the pessimist of the bunch, just looking at the situation realistically is all. I have the game preordered, but there are a few other games I have my eye on as well, despite this one being one of my most anticipated. If it turns out this game is not going to drop in October, I am just going to cancel my preorder and pick up something else. I'll still buy Alpha Protocol whenever they finally get it out. Sega is really dropping the ball on this one....just my opinion.

Seriously? You would think that if this game was going to in fact be landing in October that they would want to market it and start releasing more trailers, ect. I mean, we are approaching mid-September and we have not even got a confirmed date yet and the trailers and info seems to have stopped as well. I hope I am wrong here, but I am starting to suspect that this may get pushed to later in the year or possibly even 2010. Even if such is not the case, the less info and footage that is out there, the fewer will be the people who will ultimately buy it considering the holiday season horde of games that is fast approaching. I mean, think about it. We even have dates for titles that are landing in November. Hell, we even have dates for games that are releasing in early 2010. Yet here we are in September and no official word on a date yet? Not trying to be negative, as this is one of my most anticipated titles. Just concerned and would like to know when it is going to come out is all. As if October is indeed when it will be releasing, let's just say that the hour is getting late and we have no confirmation as of yet.

I was hoping we would at least get a new developer walkthrough or interview from PAX, but nothing. With all of the silence all of the sudden, I am starting to fear that the game may get pushed into 2010. Come on, Obsidian, keep us in the loop. I realize that it is ultimately Sega's call, but delay or not, I just think we deserve to know something. We are approaching mid-September here and there is still no confirmed date as of yet.

Just curious as to when we will be seeing some new footage or getting new info? It seems as if everything has gone a bit silent all of the sudden. Hopefully everything is going smoothly and the game is still on track for October 27th.

Sex is a part of life, but it is somehow wrong or taboo if developers decide to implement real life scenarios in what is supposed to be a modern day RPG? People are simply far too sensitive, not to mention hypocritical on the subject. They rail against anything that portrays sexuality within the entertainment world, yet they do not deny themselves the pleasure of it in their own life. What a merry go round.

The game has never been delayed before. A late 2009 release is certainly an early release for this game in the first place! What? I remember back in Feb-March it was supposed to come out, yet here we are. I would call that a delay.

LOL, you are trying to tell Obsidian what their own game is and how they should go about developing it? This IS an RPG, bud. Just because it does not have wizards, warriors, elves, giant free roaming forests and dungeons does not make it otherwise.

You are asking for yet another delay? I know one hing, Alpha Protocol is one of my most anticipated titles of the year and I already have it paid off. Yet if it gets delayed again, I am just going to cancel the preorder and put it towards something else. Hopefully they do not hear your plea....no offense.

Sounds like this guy was trying make mountains out of mole hills to me. I have seen enough of the game customization-wise, gameplay-wise, dialog-wise and story-wise to know that I am going to dig the hell out of the game, regardless of nit picky reviews. I love my fantasy and sci fi rpgs, but the genre needs something fresh, to put it mildly. AP is looking like it will fill that void for me. I just hope that October holds for the release.

Exactly, "your weapon is choice." I guess they missed that part....or just assumed that the average person playing will probably consider their weapon to be in their pants, lol.
