I'm slightly disappointed the two game modes don't seem to blend. Like for example it would be cool if on one level you were sent to a bar to track down an informant and then all of sudden you get jumped by hitmen or something.

I like how it looks like a giant revolver. Now all we need is an anime where people dual-wield it to make it officially awesome.

Actually they are just being frank about Alpha Protocol unlike the usual hyping of ****ty AAA games or downright lying about them.

 

Yeah, that's my point.

 

Even if Alpha Protocol is a broken mess it will still be a better game than the likes of Oblivion or Fallout though.

 

Most likely, yes. But then again, making a game better than Oblivion or Fallout 3 is not a huge feat, is it?

Matthew, do you know whether the retail version of the game comes with the Steamworks suit a' la Empire: TW, or does it come with a "standard"-installer?

 

I'm guessing it's the latter, because ETW devs announced their cooperation with Steam pretty early.

That doesn't sound too good. If the preview is to be trusted, a delay would be most welcome.

 

Though I must admit that I'm amused that bigger titles are getting a free pass and yet AP is rather heavily criticized.

Competition will be fierce in October, two big RPGs will be released then: Risen and Dragon Age.

I, for one, wouldn't mind a delay if it meant more polish and it could actually translate into more sales I reckon.

Can't say I like the "shadow operative", but other than that it looks promising.

 

By the looks of it, the stealth should at least on the level of Deus Ex.
