  1. Games that allow modding are, overall, IMO great. It lets you play the game the way you want to play it, not the way some particular dev(s) thought you should play it.

It's also great that companies like Bioware, Obsidian, Bethesda and others have seen fit to include toolkits (or to support community efforts to do so) - they can't lose; first, it increases user satisfaction with the game, extending it's shelf life (which means $) and (b) it makes those of the community more like lyto buy another of their games (which means $).

Yes, Virginia, it really is all about profit. But it doesn't mean we have to lose out: I still enjoy firing up NWN1, KotOR and KotOR2 and trying different mods out. Sometimes I get unlazy enough to mod myself (scripting is a particularly tasty morsel).

So yes, by all means, try the various mods out there and enjoy them. Hint: Save often, make backups. :)

And remember - if you don't like what a particular mod does, uninstall it (hence the "make backups" hint  )

Tell that to people like EA who would rather release console games than PC games

This is why I am POed at K2 on Xbox for having so much cut content that there is no (legal) way of restoring. This actually causes more crime, if you think about it! :banghead::p

  3. HEY! To play a MMO you have to have freaking Broadband to get fun out of it!!!! A KOTOR 3 would not need Broadband!!! Also, a MMO can only be on PC. NOT ON XBOX!!!!!!!!!!!!! The TOR idea sucks freaking eggs. TOR is Bull Crap! :)

  4. This is my first time playing Kotor 2, and I knew that it was buggy, but I had no idea how bad. After fighting the five handmaidens in the Telos Academy, Kreia and Bau-Dur, my two other party members at the time, completely stopped responding. They stay frozen in place and refuse to move, fight, or talk. Their portraits have disappeared in the corner of the screen, so I cannot switch to them. I thought maybe it would right itself if I changed zones, but they remain completely unresponsive on the Ebon Hawk, and if I use them in my party while on a planet.

Also, when I try to duel Handmaiden, neither of us can lose. Both of our health bars deplete, but neither of us will fall and the only way to end the fight is to use force powers or weapons and break the rules.

I was really enjoying this game, but then it completely self destructed after Telos, and is practically unplayable. Is there any way to fix these problems?

Easy about Handmaiden. Go do a planet. Due to a bug that I also experienced, you cannot damage Handmaiden until after you go to a planet and do a few things. Doesn't matter which. :sorcerer:
