  1. No 3 dog would be an improvement.

But yeah, being less player character centred would be nice. And I really hated how the radio constantly referred to my character as the "hero of the wasteland" and all that.

Personally, I'd like a radio station that was less about the "attitude" and more about facts you know. So the radio guy isn't a DJ, but just a dude who reads the news, informs people of what's going on and plays some music. Not a howling idiot screaming about the good fight. And as such, I'd like it if it were more localized. I liked GNR the best before you do the radio dish quest, because it feels like you're heading into the wilderness/danger when you head outside its radius. Increasing static the further away you go, to the point where it really just is static. Completely alone, out in the goddamn post-apocalyptic desert, with not even the radio to take comfort in. Hell yeah.

That will all depend on how the world is built of course. Personally, I wouldn't mind if the game was completely radioless but it'd probably be a risky move to drop it since it seems to be quite popular in Fallout 3.

[intelligence] So you don't like three dawg?

  2. I think PL was the best DLC by far, although I'm more interested in background for sandbox play then most anything else, so your mileage may vary.

That's the only one I haven't played yet. So far, Pitt is my favorite.

Pitt gave me a "This is so cool" moment when I climbed up the tower and looked across the city ruins. Was one of the more visually impressive sights in a game I've seen for quite some time.

    Pitt overall felt very fallouty.

  4. Been playing Edge on the iPhone since it was re-released yesterday(**** you, Tim Langdell) What a great game! If any of you have/game on iDevices, get it nau!

I'm just gonna repeat myself. EDGE is freaking awesome. It's definitely sharing my top iPhone game spot along with Rolando 2.

  5. Your belief is irrelevant. If you have evidence otherwise, show it.

No, I can't prove that you have been punished for every crime you have committed. Maybe it's for the better, You seem very grounded in your belief in your own righteousness and I don't have enough time or interest to get into lengthy online debates anymore. I wouldn't mind picking it up in person, over a beer or two, though. So if you're ever in Chicago, reach out and I'll be glad to continue this over a pint.

  6. So now you never break any laws? I don't believe you.

    EDIT:

Are you out of your mind? This is so far from being true I can only imagine youre making it up for the lulz.

    1) As they do not have SSN's, they arent paying a dime in taxes. Not. One. Dime.

    2) Abide by the law? Did you decide the link showing how illegal aliens are straining the prision system to the breaking point is false?

    3) Pay their own medical? What? Seriously, are you just playing devils advocate or something?

You have no idea, do you?

I'm speaking from my own experience. Some of these people are my friends, some are family. I know how this works first hand.

    1) Many use one SSN for the whole family, others have an SSN, but don't have a job permission. Those who have the number, but not job permission, make fake SS cards. Many small businesses don't check SS of their employees, so they end up having taxes taken out of their paychecks. IRS doesn't care if they're illegal, they're still paying.

    2) My examples don't commit serious crimes. Not all illegal aliens are blood thirsty latino kings.

    3) Yes, my best friend's father died from cancer in this country. They paid for everything on their own, even lost their house because of that(yes, they were illegal and were able to get a mortgage)

  7. If I did break the Law I would expect to be held criminally accountable for my actions.

You did not answer the question.

Edit: even with your edit, you did not answer the question.

  8. If they overstayed their visa they have broken the law, thus not in this country legally. By being in this country illegally they cannot "abide the law" because they had to break the law to be in this country. They should be held criminally accountable and deported.

Have you ever broken the law?

  9. As long as they came across the border legally, more power to them. I wish them all the success they get.

Some came legally, but stayed after their visa ran out. Others did not come here legally. All of them pay taxes, abide the law and pay for their own medical expenses. All of them dream about becoming legal.

    EDIT:

Exactly. Create a fairer immigration system that can cater to all types of immigrants legally, regardless of nation of origin. If a person that is coming to our nation is just to do seasonal work, then the language and education requirements would be less stringent than if the person was seeking permanent residency. If we can also set up a secure online renewal system that would cut down on the time on approval and office visits.

There needs to be a way for illegal aliens to become legal. Say, if they lived here for 10+ years, speak the language, paid the taxes and didn't break the law, they can pay a $2k fine and get a real SSN.

  10. I'll have to do some research, but I'm not sure if all 12 million illegal immigrants in the US take part in this cultural phenomenon. There are probably one or two who come across the border, learn English, and do their best to make a better life for themselves.

I know at least five personally.

  11. iDevices...

I have an iPod Touch, but I don't really like buying stuff from the app store. There are some nice free apps, though.

I spend waaay too much money on games for my iPhone. There are just too many fun game out, but if you don't want to buy, there's a lite version of the edge.

  12. No, we ARE talking about illegal immigrants. Some of them may be trying to build better lives but it is at the expense of actual citizens who have to pay their medical bills, lose jobs because of them, even get killed by them (probably an exageration, but have read 13 people die a day from a drunk illegal driver). Simpathy for their plight does not mean we should run our country into the ground for them.

What about the ones who work hard, pay taxes, get nothing in return and dream about becoming legal?

  13. Good luck. Im one week away from six month smoke free. The habit is the hardest part, sometimes while Im driving my hand will unconsciously reach over to where my smokes used to be.

Yeah, going through MDE makes it even harder. But I think I'm finally gonna go to a doctor, I've been dealing with it on my own for years and I just don't have time or strength to do that on my own.
