  1. Actually I don't quite understand the uproar unlimited ammo regularly creates. Most shooters (survival and tactical shooters aside) already have unlimited ammo, i.e. they throw so much ammo at you, it might as well be unlimited. And as a side note, the way ammo is handled now makes games damn predictable. I still remember HL2, where you pretty much knew in advance what's going to happen, just by the ammo that dropped.
  2. If it's the same armor as in the OC it's light armor, hence you'll need light armor proficiency. Either take a level of fighter, rogue, etc. or take the feat.
  3. Non-skippable cutscenes (Bioware I'm looking at you), preferable with a tough fight and no way to save afterwards.
  4. The Serious Sams First and Second Encounter: Pure Shooter fun Gunman Chronicles: The only time I didn't mind the vehicles in a shooter. Well it's a tank
  5. Best thing in there is by far Portal. But for that game alone it's worth its money.
  6. Sid Meier's Pirates, on the C64. Was my first favorite game, might as well be my last.
  7. Well it's the same as with every rpg, there will always be sexier options, but you'll need either stamina/endurance or magical protection, no way around it.
  8. Actually more points in stamina will help, plus I think there is an extra talent that reduces the chance of stun, pain and the like. And of course there are potions that render you immune, can't remember which though. I was more annoyed at the "cool" finishing moves, which were only cool the first 2-3 times, later they just seemed to hold you up in the excessive slaughter. That's a problem with The Witcher per se, it often tries to be too cool, less would be sometimes more.
  9. With all the Far Cry 2 hype I thought I'd try out the original. So far I'm underwhelmed to say it mildly. The voice acting is atrocious, I wish the PC was mute, the story is even worse, and the promised freedom, while somewhat nice, if useless outdoors, is nonexistent indoors. Not even the shooting is much fun. All in all a big disappointment so far.
