  1. "Whats so different between Guild Wars and the other MMORPGs? (Except the pay-to-play thing)" Well, it's not really a MMORPG.
  2. Diet Pepsi? Eww!
  3. Damn you, Kaftan, and your ninja-isms!
  4. "You can see a Hack n' Slash game come from a mile away, usually its all the hyping about combat, skills, spell and not a thing about the gaming world or the story that give em away.." Have you actually played it, by the way? 'Cause, y'know, it's awesome. Sure, it's not an RPG. So what? It's awesome.
  5. Oh boy, this game is awesome! I came accross it reading the PA forums and decided to give it a try. Mount&Blade Preview on RPGDot Download it, NOW!
  6. "So if you go by that definition, since no one in the town is strong enough to fight the Lotus Assassins, the closed fist very well might close the dam as he veiws it as a unfair challenge." Do the Lotus Assassins have any kind of unfair advantage, or are they just more skilled? Because, again, basing on what you wrote, it's what makes the difference.
  7. "'OMG! The force must die!' - BBG from KOTOR2" "OMG! I must die!" - the protagonist from PST.
  8. "You fought the handmaidens? In my game, it happened in a cutscene, with Brianna (the Last of the Handmaidens) drawing her lightsaber, then a fade to black and several femenine groans. the Hadnmaiden then fights atris (actual comabt). Then My character arrived, and also fought Atris. twice." You can spar with them the first time you're on Telos.
  9. Hold on now, Kalfear - is the closed fist supposed to value strenght over all things (as you said in the other thread) or are they supposed to be 'just' evil? Because at least in the first example, it seems to make a world of difference: if it's the strenght thing, according to the closed fist philosophy, they don't have a right to live if they can't fight for it, no? I can't really comment on the other example because I really can't get a clear picture of the situation from your description.
  10. "If Silver wasn't busy she'd probably drool so I'm gonna do it for her" Hm. "*looks at balls*....Damn I hope they grow back...couldn't you shoot me somewhere else?" You know, I think you'll get by just fine without them.
  11. Oh, well, that's BioEvil for you.
  12. Then how the hell is it bad game design (in an RPG!) that you can play your character as a disgusting, vile monster if you don't have to?
  13. "-Closed Fist. Playing closed fist makes you feel dirty! For any player out there that prefers playing a HERO, you will find playing closed fist distasteful to the point that many players have not been able to complete it. I personally think this is a draw back and poor design." But... you don't have to play as closed fist, right?
  14. "I really hope all the space sound effects are only in the trailer. One of the neat parts of the show was that there was no sound in space." Yeah... That disappointed me.
  15. "but I think Ill buy the 2000 just to be on the safe side, that mobo had SLI too so I can just buy another graphics card if I want to(especially when the prices drop)" Good luck finding one of the exact same model and from the same manufacturer after a few months have passed. My advice: never, ever futureproof when buying computers.
  16. "I dislike Sidious mainly for the reason that they screwed up in the Prequels and made it too obvious other than making it seem like a twist." How can you not make it obvious when everybody who has seen the OT knows that Palpatine is an evil Sith that will one day rule as the Galactic Emperor?
  17. "I agree as far as component yield from breaking down items is concerned, but I don't see any difference in cost for creating items. Could you give a specific example that highlights the difference?" Hm, now that I think about it, I'm not actually sure it makes a difference. I know that at repair 20 component cost/gain for creating/breaking down an item is the same. Must've just felt logical that it'd have an effect on both.
  18. "Unless I am reading it incorrectly (which is likely since im tired, as usual), it says implies that Revan was trained at first by Kae, then someone else that the Disciple doesnt know, then Kae again... so if you assume that Kreia was Revan's last master before he ran off to fight the mandalorians(which i find pretty easy to beleive given all that kreia blamed herself and went looking for him ect.), then it makes sense that Kreia is Kay." Disciple says that he doesn't recall who Revan's masters were after Kae - to me, there's an implication that he should know that, especially what with him calling it strange that he doesn't. Now, why doesn't he remember, and why is it strange? I don't know, but I suspect Kreia.
  19. "I meant GeForce 3." March 2001.
  20. "The PS2 was most powerful that most PCs when released and remained that way for quite some time (about a year if not in error) [...]" Released, as in "released for frothing masses to spend their wealth on"? Because, I really don't buy the quote claim if that's what you meant by released. "[...] even the Xbox that was a strip down PC was more powerful that PCs until NVidia released the GeForce." The first GeForce (GeForce 256) was released in August 1999. The XBox was released in November 2001.
  21. "Disciple: 'As a Padawan, Revan was trained by Master Kae, before she was exiled. Strange, I do not recall who Revan's master was after that. And it is said that he went to his first - and final - master to learn how to leave the order entirely, as she had.'" What wonders me is the bolded part of what Disciple said: if Kreia is Kae, it just doesn't seem to have a point.
  22. "Actually you can circumvent the Exile repair limitation: use another character with higher scores in whatever skill you require, whether it is repair to breakdown items, or any others to create new items." Unless this was changed by the patch, no. Exile's repair skill determines the component cost/gain from crafting/breaking down items. What can and can't be crafted, however, depends on who's using the workbench.
  23. "Or, she could just be lying to you outright (that would fit her character). Other characters don't mention lethal force bonds, iirc." Yes, every other character that knew something about force bonds mentioned that they had never encountered such a strong bond before.
