Dragon Age 2
I think they also added all those job board quests while waiting for the console ports (btw, as I recall Bio wasn't even the one that did the ports).

Dragon Age 2
I strongly suspected that when EA bought Bio, but where did you get this info?

How do you think consciousness and energy are related, if at all?
It's called "Morgan Freeman's Through the Wormhole: Is there a Creator?"

How do you think consciousness and energy are related, if at all?
Yes, it was on the Science channel and it was a show with Morgan Freeman which explored whether science points to the existence of God or the opposite. Don't remember the exact name but I'll post it if they repeat it.

Books
I tried to buy that once, but it seems to be out of print. I guess I'll check again next time I'm buying books.

Dragon Age 2
That wasn't a review, it was a list of games they considered overrated, therefore they gave the consesus score and the score they thought it deserved.

Right, and my guess it's both.

I think this is the best summary of DAO I've ever seen: http://www.pcworld.com/article/202393/most...ideo_games.html

What you did today
Why not battle both?

Fallout: New Vegas
The new healing mechanic should at least be an option in the non-HC mode as well. I think I would prefer that over standard, but not interested in the game being very fiddly, as HC mode seems to imply.

Storage of information requires energy, so he's not far off on that. There's a part of the brain that's been identified as having to do with a sense of self, though trying to understand how that could work is kind of like trying to pick yourself up by your own bootstraps. Interestingly, the same area on the opposite side of the brain has to do with a sense of "presence", or perhaps extra-sensory perception is my hypothesis. Just saw that on TV yesterday.

Woman wins millions in lottery 4 times!
That's just based on assumptions though. People who are outside in thunderstorms for some reason will be struck a lot more often than the average person, who will almost never be struck.

Dragon Age 2
Hmm, that's quite perceptive of you, I never thought of that. They may indeed be commenting on changes within Bioware over time. I think the problem with Bioware is after Erection Partners bought them, it became all about profits. I'm pretty sure I remember them talking about crafting games with love before that, but you never hear it now, it's all factory assembled for the least common denominator. Plus it seems like they spread themselves too thin with all these different projects, the KOTOR team has been split at least 3 ways, there just doesn't seem to be enough creative critical mass.

Woman wins millions in lottery 4 times!
Lightning strikes aren't that unusual though, also depends on the person's behavior.

AP has sold 700k units?
Obsidian uses fairly small teams, I don't think their games are that expensive, nor is AP really AAA, more like A-. I bet Bioware spent at least twice as much on just making ME, not to mention promoting it. Aliens may have been an expensive game though, from what we saw of it.

Woman wins millions in lottery 4 times!
Here's from a guy who claims to be a statistician: http://wmbriggs.com/blog/?p=2597 What I don't get is why the odds of the lotteries are so low, I thought the odds are usually twice the jackpots. Here's a guy who claims he got hit by meteorites 6 times: http://www.metro.co.uk/weird/835482-man-hi...geted-by-aliens (I saw all this on Wargamer forums).

AP has sold 700k units?
I know, that's why I added the caveats. Unfortunately I couldn't find anything from NPD, but not being in top 20 means <100K in US for June.
-
AP has sold 700k units?
If VGChartz is to be believed, AP sold 280K on the 360 and PS3, which isn't that bad, but still doesn't jibe with not even breaking top 20 on NPD. The only reason I can think Sega would've shipped that many to stores is they're hoping for bargain bin Christmas sales. http://www.vgchartz.com/worldtotals.php?na...lpha%20protocol

AP has sold 700k units?
The quarter AP come out is the first quarter Sega made a profit in a looong time. Coincidence?
-
AP has sold 700k units?
700K isn't bad at all for a game positioned the way AP was. But as someone said, it's probably units shipped to store, not sold through to the consumer.
