  1. I missed the romance too. I like to have them in games. I'm equally interested in having a friendship between characters, as you could in NWN2. It just makes the game that much more real to me if my PC is supposed to have deep, emotional connections to the NPCs.
  2. There aren't. Now I'm getting my game types confused... At least I was right about AoE, though!
  3. RTS games are very hard to master. I know when I play them I'm usually scrambling from one thing to another but I think I like them so much because I'm a multi-tasking sort of person. My favorite RTS games of all time are the Age of Empires series and the Civilization series. I don't think RTS gets any better than those two.

I just have to say that the pasta was delicious. We've made two recipes from the Everyday Pasta thus far and both got high marks. We borrowed the book from the library so we could try a few recipes and see if we liked them before deciding to buy the book. The book is firmly on my wish list now. Tomorrow we'll make stuffed shells with turkey which is another recipe from the book.
  5. Ooh, sounds like it's time to patch and replay from the beginning of the OC. I really enjoyed both the OC and MotB.
  6. I'm a big fan of Jericho. Last year it concentrated on a town trying to survive after a nuclear strike took out most of the country. This year it's big on political intrigue, which I find equally interesting. I've heard that it was canceled once again, though.
  7. I just want someone to fix the economy so we can all have decent-paying jobs again.

The prob here is that the smoke alarm is incorporated right into the wiring--no batteries. There was a law passed I don't know how many years ago that requires this so it's not like the good ol' days where you could just take the battery out. As a general rule, I don't fiddle with wires. I prefer my food to be cooked and not myself. I'm happy to report that the taste testing I've done of my rigatoni with sausage and peppers is very satisfactory. Looks like this will be a nice, yummy dish.

Ha! So it's not just the U.S. smoke alarms that are overactive, then. Aside from food, I'm also a big wine and tea enthusiast and I've been known to bore my husband to tears with tea talk. He love sushi and sashimi, though I haven't been adventurous enough to try any of it. There's a Japanese place near us that he really likes and I do too because I can get an absolutely gorgeous chicken teriyaki there. We also usually get sake and I like it, though it is very strong. Best to take it in small sips.

Yeah, hubby and I are in an apartment too. As I said, we like to cook but it can be quite a challenge at times since we have next to no prep space and our stove is squashed against a partial wall meant to divide the kitchen from the dining area. Your recipe for the Italian sausage and peppers sounds good. I'll have to give it a try sometime. I'm half Italian so sausage and peppers is like second nature to me. It's unbelievably good, for anyone who's never eaten them. They're also good with ammoghio, which is a sort of Italian-style salsa. My dad makes his so full of garlic you can practically smell it on yourself for days. Once we get a house, a grill will be a must for us. We have a grill pan but it's just not the same and we can't grill red meat on it anyway because it smokes up the apartment and sets off the stupid smoke detector.

TJ's orange chicken is delicious, I am in full agreement there. My husband and I love to cook and we hardly ever eat the same thing twice. My new favorite site is Epicurious.com, which has tons of fabulous recipes. You can search by ingredient, which is very cool. We've made several recipes from that site. My favorites were Cr
  12. Just finished KotOR II. I know, I know. I'm way behind the times. I liked it more than I thought I would but am glad there's a restoration project going on as the ending didn't exactly satisfy. Before that, replayed KotOR I for the first time in years. Love that game. I've probably played it a million times by now. Also played a bit of Rise of Legends but wasn't all that impressed with it.
  13. I didn't bother with Goto so I have no complaints about him. My favorites to take off the ship were Mandalore, Mira, Atton, and Disciple. Kreia is too creepy for me, though my husband did tip me off that Kreia's handy to have in a fight if you put her in Jedi Defense. She's still too creepy for me, though.
  14. Okay, it's all good now. Went back to a previous save and finally got off the yacht. It wasn't my favorite part of the game either. While some of the missions using other characters have been interesting, I generally don't like not being able to use my PC. Thanks again to you both for the welcome.
  15. Thanks for the welcome. Both times I ran around the ship a few times just to make sure and everything is done, I'm certain of that. I did load an old save from before I entered the ship when I tried the ship runthrough the second time and I had the same problem as the first time. This glitch is worrying me because I'm not going to be able to progress any further in the game if I can't get off that yacht.
  16. I tried searching for info on this but nothing came up. I'm currently totally stuck on Goto's yacht. I've already switched everything to the secondary power source and I shut it down. When I look at the status, it shows that the cloaking device is down, the door seal is down, etc. I've been attacked by all of the bounty hunters. The problem is that when I try to open the door to get to the Ebon Hawk, I get the message telling me that it's magnetically sealed and that it can only be shut down on the bridge. Um, I've already shut it down, thanks. I tried running through the ship again using a previous save but to no avail. Please tell me there is some way past this...
