  1. I'm a sucker for well done romances, in a well done story driven RPG they only add to the immersion. Doing it the right way is the key though and making them believable and not cheesy or tacked on. Skyrim's marriage was probably the worst case scenario, and Bioware's romances become more and more dull and an endless copy&paste of the same old formula, not even mentioning the "everyone's bi because players need love slaves". I liked DA:O, but probably mainly because I immediately fell in love with characters like Leliana anyway. DA2 again was Bioware's worst case scenario, better leave them out before becoming so dull.
  2. I forgot a 2 there... NWN2 MotB and SoZ. My bad.
  3. I think it's about time you make the game you want without any pressure from a publisher... I always considered NWN2 a diamond in the rough as well as a lot of other later games that show the wonderful potential of Obsidian but always seemed if there had to be too many compromises. I just wish I could use Kickstarter w/o a credit card... pitty a paypal donation won't count there.
  4. Ben Houge, I think the Arcanum soundtrack was a masterpiece - and it stands out because it's not the typical bombastic wagnerian fantasy stuff with choirs and whatnot... I don't get why people love the Skyrim bombast, and Dragon Age had nothing memorable to me. I loved the intimity of a real string quartet in Arcanum, and it's the only game music I ever burned on a CD to listen to on the stereo. That said, the Soundtrack of the two Neverwinter Nights expansions was really good too.
  5. I'd love some NWN(2)-style multiplayer with an Editor, it should be a stretch goal really.
