  1. I understand what your saying. In essence most sith become a slave to power. However a true sith would control the power and not let the power control them which has happened to most sith. Palpatine is a bad example for me to use bc he was a slave to his own power. To my knowledge there has yet to be a sith whom understands this concept. What I meant to say was the ideal sith would not display these weaknesses. A fun thought to contemplate is if Luke had turned to the dark side would his knowledge and skills go with him making him the sith'ari. "One who has freed themselves from all restrictions has reached perfection, their potential fulfilled. Perfect strength, perfect power, perfect destiny. Imagine it."
  2. The dark side is much more complex then people think. When people see a sith they say bad guy and when they see a jedi they say good guy. However, anyone who has lived knows the world is not black and white, but grey. Some previous post stated sith are evil bc they torture and destroy planets. My question is who the hell are you to determine what is evil and whats not. Good and evil are subjective, what I may think is wrong another might see as fine. The sith have values of good and evil to. For them it is evil to turn your back on power and evil to show weakness. Although we can agree morality has importance we can agree that one who has no moral bounds has reached the ultimate freedom. Imagine being in a position where you could kill without consequence. Although we dont advocate killing the point is you have the option with no consequence making you truely free. The sith strive for this freedom through the force, and you can derive this from the code its self which states through the force my chains will be broken. Did palpatine not have the ultimate freedom? The universe was at his grasp and anything he felt like doing could be done without fear of retribution from politicians, jedi etc. I suggest the simpletons who say sith=bad jedi=good should read a famous philisophical piece of literature called Beyond Good and Evil by Friedrich Nietzsche
  3. My vote would go to Nihilus. Sion would be difficult to defeat bc he would be better in terms of lightsaber skills, but Nihilus would just use extremely powerful force powers to keep him at bay taking away Sion's advantage
  4. My favorite combination would be Guardian/Sith Lord. I enjoy this combination bc it gives me the ability to do decent dmg with a lightsaber and use potent force powers at the same time without sacrificing lightsaber capabilities. The bonus's result in plus 1-8dmg and 50 fp which is nice. I guess I was sort of inspired by palpatine who is a true sith lord, yet kills 3 jedi in lightsaber combat with ease while having an extremely potent force lightning at the same time. I would call my build rather unique. I take turns every 4 lv's putting a point in str and then wisdom the next lv and repeat the process. Only weakness I found was how badly the lack of int made skill progression, but then again you mainly use your party members for skill related tasks so it's not that bad. The Build: Str 15 Dex 10 Con 14 Int 10 Wis 15 Cha 12
  5. Interesting question. the force can be neither light or dark because that would meen there is no balance. Also Christians lie about destiny. For example the Cathocism of the church states "Mary was predestined to be the mother of god, yet christians dont belive in predestination." That my friend is an oxymoron proving they are hypocrites. Mary was born without original sin so she could have jesus in a clean environment if you will, meaning her fate was chosen from the start. I think the force has a free will. The lifeforms it surrounds all have an oppurtunity to manipulate it any way they please, weither it be hurt people or help people. It is an energy that binds us all together, but the energy can be twisted to the people's will.
  6. True, I guess I was comparing apples to oranges. Dark sentinel = offense Light side = def. I also agree with your quote. A true sith would not allow his power to enslave him. Nihilus was weak in that he was addicted to power and would do anything to get it ( hence he became a slave to his own power) Although all sith goal is to obtain more power, the wisest ones control the power, not letting the power control them, which has happened to so many sith.
  7. Good question. I would say it is based on the person, becuase everyone has their own limits to moral flexibility. A true sith would draw the line where ever he /she pleases. Think of it this way, if you had the ability to do anything, absolutely anything, such as kill someone or steal without consequence, wouldn't you be completely free. You don't have to want to kill someone or commit crimes because thats just sadistic, but it's the simple fact knowing there is no limit to what you can do. A true sith aims to achive this power over himself and the universe. Then it becomes his responsibility to draw the line where he sees fit and have others follow until another rises up and achieves a similar power taking his place and establishing a new line if you will. Example: Palpatine was in complete control over the majority of the galaxy and established a new set of laws which were to be followed, the crime of an individual against another would be severly punished. Palpatine set a line for the galaxy he conquered and removed any line(or restriction for himself). Palpatine therefore had complete freedom.
  8. In response to the first post if you want to use dark side powers while being a jedi cha will be a very important attribute to you. You will have one heck of a time beating handmaiden with 10 str, dex, and con. Stims will only get you so far, and your lack of feats will hurt you additionally because your a consular. This build will best suit your charcter and what you hope to accomplsih with it in my opinion. Str 12 Dex 12 Con 14 Int 12 Wis 14 Cha 14 For your g/f guardian build i reccomend giving her more con because it will leave her with more room for mistakes and will give her immediate access to the best implants. Be advised though, pumping an attribute to 18 while creating the character is only advised for less experienced players. Str 16 Dex 12 Con 18 Int 8 Wis 8 Cha 8
  9. I almost always play dark side. I guess I sympathize with the antagonists of story lines, mainly because their products of their environment and ultimately fail in the end. I to like you take the game quite seriously. I agree the jedi masters are portrayed as weaklings. I get less satisfaction from killing them because none offer much of a challenge. Similar to the question which side is better for a sentinel the darker path is easier to accomplish. Yet through my experience the light side does not yield a better power in the end. The dark side while easier is much more of an internal struggle than the light side. So it is debatible which path is the shorter one. I too hope to see a more challenging jedi enemy to kill in a future kotor game.
  10. I have been thinking to myself for a long time which one is better. The Light side sentinel has more survivability with the plus 6 con, but the dark side gets plus 6 dex which is the core attribute of a sentinel. Also, the dark side has the ability to get lv 10 sneak attack. Although they dont have as much access to stuns as light siders making it less effective. So my question to you is which is better? I understand preference comes into play, but when looking at it ability wise which one comes out on top. My opinion is dark side for the capability for higher dmg.
