will i be able to kill women and children in p. X
Aeon replied to poolofpoo's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
i don't really feel the need to kill anyone i see. killing emenies is fun when they are a challenge to defeat. not when you can take them down with a single hit. -
of course. don't all rednecks have katanas, and pet japanese warriors?
-
Ultima IV? so many good memories. hell, with insipartion like that Obsidian games are already set
-
this isn't exactly what your looking for. but its an immpresive looking chinese RPG Jade Empire but no ninja's. or samurai. although samurai do suck. vikings are far cooler. and it took the mongols over 14 years to conquer Kiev. and Kiev was (and still is) a reletively minor city compared to say Rome or Paris. the mongols simply didn't have the knowledge in seige warfare to take on european fortress-cities successfully

it could be cool. but is it just extra work that doesn't really amount to anything? i'd prefer a single functional menu than a dozen menu's that don't work well.

What game element is most important to you?
Aeon replied to Craftsman's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
hmm, they're all important. but i'd say story. too much freedom gets boring quickly (ie morrowind) and i don't want a game that looks like Ultima 4, so to a degree graphics are reletively important. -
surely the best thing would be to set the story long after kotor 1, and have vague references to revan's deeds, the sith claiming he turned evil and the republic saying he rejected the dark.
-
a dragonlance game could be cool. although the setting is kind of basic and very forgotten realms-ish. some of the old white wolf settings could be good too.
-
does jumping really matter? i mean its not a platformer or action game.
-
and i want to have a sandperson on my team.

the non linearity of Kotor wasn't in what order you did the quests but how you did the quests. i personally liked the combat. at first i hated it, it seemed weird and ungainly. but after, i dunno, an hour into the game, i was loving it. and then even more when i got force powers. the mini games were fine. i mean they were just mini games, swoop racing fits in star wars, and was done well. pazaak had its problems but it beat the s**t out of those annoying card games in Final Fantasy games. the gun turrets could have been improved, maybe by having a basic space flight sim there, although that would be a fair bit of work.
-
maybe, but only if it doesn't affect the story, or if one player is designated as the 'main' character who the plot revolves around
-
i'm a pretty political person, and i don't really want to see a political forum. they (and religious forums too) just end up as people getting angry because they can't agree.
-
i thought that Kotor was one of the first games to offer a ligitimate dark path. sure you've been able to be 'chaotic evil' before but in KOTOR you could be evil
-
not if they were using a middleware engine. there are some immpresive middleware going around now. Auran (of Dark Riegn fame) has an especially impressive one in Jet and Jet 2.

Australia. and i'm pretty sure that Australia is a continent to itself. you could pu Oceania if you want. But New Zealanders might as well just put Australia, they're pretty much part of the country.
-
pretty much what every one has said her already. make it bigger. nastier, and keep HK.
-
i don't think that putting an RPG (or any game really) on PC and a console is too bad, as long as the controlls are corrected for both platforms.
-
i honestly don't care if they make a PC only RPG or a console RPG. the two genre's are becoming increasingly similar. it looks like even japanese RPGs are starting to take some ques from western ones. the best musical directors in the indutrsy are the guy from Rareware, Martin O'Donnell (Bungie), and Jesper Kyd (Hitman 1 & 2). IMO

The Little Things That Got "lost In Translation"
Aeon replied to kumquatq3's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
as a scoundrel i could talk my way out of most things and the basic enemies were still relevtively easy to kill, it was just that the final boss battle was just that, a battle, and that a soldier, or even a scout were much more suited to that than a scoundrel -
The Little Things That Got "lost In Translation"
Aeon replied to kumquatq3's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
supposedly the changing the course of the leviathen was going to be downloadable for xbox. but the swoop thing pissed me off. after getting used to the combat i really enjoyed it. so i wouldn't mind if you don't change that. inventory sucked though. and the fact that you could hold onto virtually unlimited stuff. admitedly i played it on xbox, and the controlls worked fine for it. -
i agree BIS games often had a habit of coming out unfinished, or canned when they were all but done. but having people at OBS that have made such fantastic game does help, but the degree of input a publisher has can often turn a good thing into crud.
-
then you looking for this made by these guys sheesh, i'm sick up plugging falbe, i've been here about 30 minutes and talked about it three times.
-
didn't FASA make the first shadowrun? i know the MS owns FASA, but wouldn't it make sense for FASA to make a sequel?
-
if were assuming its kotor 2, then i want HK-47 back, surely a driod can last thousands of years unnatended. i agree character morphing fable stlye would be awesome. and the voice changing is a cool idea to. not having to be a jedi as well. and having ligitimate neutral chioces. maybe even neutral side points. oh, and i though there was a similarity between jolee's vioce and the 'you must gather your party before ventureing forth' dude.
