  1. The IRS alone costs billions.
  2. Well, there is never going to be a perfect system but our government wastes to much resources that could have been spent on better things. Is not like any change will be happening anyway, so its kind of moot.
  3. Not in a consumer driven market.
  4. I am sure if some states want that then that is their business. Here in Iowa we are more open minded on such matters.
  5. True enough. Humans, by their vrey nature, are very corruptable.
  6. Yeah, right. Nothing is going to change so why bother. Right now we have a bloated inefficient government that requires a huge arse bureaucracy to run. Its not going to change now unless there is a very very very bloody coup by those in power but 99% of the people in the US are sheep so it would be pointless.
  7. Actually, yes. First off remove the Senate and the House. Replace them with a council of governors. Each state Governer sends a representative, or themselves to discuss matters on a nation wide scale and make sure things keep running. It would give more say and power to the individual states on a equal basis. Keep the Judicial system the same as well as the executive branch, but the council of governors can remove a president and appoint one in his stead if he proves to be incompetent or acts against the best interests of the nation as a whole. Also eliminate the FCC and the IRS. Instead of a tax on one's income there should be a federal sales tax.
  8. Point taken, but that is why we need to get rid of our current form of government and place something better, something more streamlined and less clunky.
  9. I really doub the curent goernment has our best interests at heart. The only interest they have is lining the pockets with money and doing the same for their friends.
  10. It shouldn't be that hard to convert over anyway since you are able to port over the hard bits, like scripting and dialog, over with minimal fuss.
  11. Why not both! (w00t)
  12. One thing I want to know is when will I get to level 8.
  13. So, when will we see the NWN 2 version?
  14. Neither am I.
  15. I rather just have one.
  16. Intel are good workhorse CPUs but overall AMDs are better value for power/cost ratio.
  17. Well, the system did cost me under $600.
  18. Windows XP Home AMD Sempron Processor 3400+ 1024 Meg RAM DDR 184 Pin 160 Gig Hard Drive 80 Gig Hard Drive DVD-RW Soundblaster X-Fi Radeon X700 Pro 256 Meg RAM A fairly midrange and basic system. There are a bunch of card slots lfor stuff like the CompactFlash Card, SmartMedia Card, Memory Stick, SD Memory Card, and XD-Picture Card.
  19. When I do buy a graphics card I go for the mid range stuff. They are good enough for my puroses, Llyr. The PS2 is almost at the price new I would almost consider getting one.
  20. If I put Oblivion on minimum settings I could pull about 100 to 120 frames per second.
  21. However I am considering in saving up to get a full next gen PC system as being a PC gaming/multimedia machine and use my current computer a secondary device.
  22. So for the price of a PS 3 or an X Box 360 with some games I can use all the software I had before and play the newer games that hasn't come out yet for the next 2 to 3 years. Siounds like a better investment than a lame console. EDIT: I just tone down the settings, Alan. No biggee.
  23. No, but it helps. Especially when I am trying to learn how to use 3DMax type programs.
  24. Oh, there is to much to list. I use Office programs for various sundries I do desktop publishing for various things. I use my computer to watch television shows, listen to music, and the such. I use it as a photocopier thanks to a scanner and my printer. I got graphic editing tools that I use on a rare occasion. I use it for communications such as the Internet and teleconferencing for long distance PnP gaming on occasion. You can't do that on a console.
