  1. He does have the power of saying yea or nay on the final project. If nay, KotOR 2 could be scrapped.
  2. Wouldn't that take away from the PC being the center of the universe. Remember its all about being a Jedi and the central character being the Jedi. After all Grandpa Georgie wants the Jedi to be the center of the universe.
  3. When it comes that a single game requiring 8-10 CDs to be installed I am sure that DVDs would be right around the corner.
  4. Sorry, but I do disagree. If you make a challenge for Jedis you will decimate the non-Jedis. If you make a challenge for non-Jedis it will be a cakewalk for the Jedis. Jedis are just that powerful and always will be.
  5. I found Jolee and Juhani more effective in melee combat than Zaalbar, Carth, and Canderous combined. THey could use their force powers to immobilize the enemy then hackety slashety.
  6. Jedis can overpower, force persuade, destroy anything that they come across.
  7. I just couldn't get intot he game. If the game is suppose to be a CRPG I want to create my character and have it be my character. That was one of the things I hated about PS:T. Add to Gothic 2's abyssmal controls I unistalled the game after 1 very frustrating hour of gameplay.
  8. Not with Grandpa Georgie overlooking their shoulder.
  9. I know the game mechanics of the d20 System which KotOR 2 is based on. I have a good working knowledge of the setting and the source material used from the PnP game. I have played KotOR 1 numorous times and I know the structure and engine they will be using in KotOR 2. I stand by my assessment.
  10. With the poor ass controls of Gothic 2 they could have used a tutorial in that game. Man, I hated Gothic 2. The wrse game I have played in years. At least in ToEE I could control my characters and make them as I wished.
  11. Which would decimate the non-jedi party members so what would be the point of putting them in the game in the first place? You can make the game balanced against Jedi or balanced for non-Jedi. There is no way to do both.
  12. Probably, but I look at the game mechanics and story mechanics and they need to mesh well or the whole game is worthless to play.
  13. A good DM wouldn't allow the munchkin in the game in the first place.
  14. The best tutorial I have seen in a CRPG was the one in BG2. It had absolutely nothing to do withthe game except show the player how to play it.
  15. Yes, it is. Also to your point about levels, I agree with you. That is why I prefer a level-less and classless system of role playing.
  16. That is the problem when you bring in munckin characters into the game. Jedis are the drow of Star Wars. Uber munchkiny and every adoloescent child wants to play one.
  17. Yes it will. They will be just as useless and aggravating to control as the first game. If you are going to let a munchkin class/character to be part of the game it will dominate the game. Its true in PnP and it is true in CRPGs.
  18. We aren't talking about movies here we are talking about CRPGs and the PnP equivelent. Jedis are munchkins. Leave all the movies and novels crap out of it.
  19. There was a major power rift between the Jedi and the non Jedi characters. The Jedi characters were all Uber-munchkin style able to kick the ass of anything and everything. Jedi, by default, are munchkin characters and have been since day one. That is why Star Wars is a poor franchise to build a RPG from.
  20. I hate MMORPGs and I play mostly CRPGs. Galaxies and JK hold no interest for me.
  21. Black Isle is dead and so is Jefferson. Get over it. Its demise is as sad as a pet hamster dying. Nothing of importance.
  22. That would be hard to do since KotOR has no multiplayer, unless they changed that too.
  23. Who really cares? I mean they would be NPCs and frankly NPCs don't hold much weight. They are nice, but they are mostly just canonfodder in big fights. Especially in the way KotOR's engine handles combat. Only the PC matters.
  24. From Atari right? After ToEE I wouldn't touch an Atari game. As a publisher their tech support sucks as well as their support for their games. Just take a good look at ToEE and MoO's many many many many many bugs and half assed programming and take a good look how many patches have been made to fix them. Sorry, if its an Atari game, which BG3 would be, I won't be getting it unless there is a strong developer like Bioware behind it. Troika isn't it. Obsidian isn't it. Pirahna Bytes wouldn't be it either and neither would Stormfront. Stormfront = puke in my book.
