  1. I choose to take it, once it hits the bargin bin, but I will compalin about it. Its my nature.
  2. It would be a better use of that diversity by allowing the player choose what class he wants to play instead of being forced to play a Jedi. Also it may not be possible in the baseline NWN game but there are ways to play a kobold in the game if you really want to.
  3. Who knows and who cares. I am more concenred withthe now than what might have been.
  4. What does the different settings have to do with your statement? You're complaining that since we can't play as a character (in this case, non-Jedi) then it's stupid to have that character as an NPC. Hades, too often you make an argument, but then completely ignore facts that make your argument look weak by saying they don't apply. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, I am talking about classes here and you are bringing up races. Two different issues here in my book. At least the last time I checked in NWN you can play as a bard/Red Dragon Disciple.
  5. Different setting, there Ghoastie. We are talking about Star Wars, not DnD.
  6. I would think the sarcasm would be obvious without the need of tags. Serious though, what is the freaking point of putting non-Jedis as NPCs if we can't be one ourselves. Just plain stupid.
  7. I think putting non-Jedi NPCs in the game is a waste of time. We all know that Jedi are the only thing worthwhile in the Star Wars universe.
  8. Depends on how well that script is written.
  9. Hey, if you don't like my posts, don't read them. Simple.
  10. I'll stop complaining when Obsidian makes a game that is satisfactory to my tastes, or at least 70% so. If I see something I don't like, I make it known.
  11. Oh would Swim be worthless. If the engine had an actual Z axis it would make underwater scenes all that much more involved.
  12. I'd just like to point out how wrong this statement is. " http://www.lucasarts.com/products/swkotor/awards.html <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Those are just glorified paper weights and pretty much means nothing. Wait five-seven years and see if people are still talking about it. That is how you determine a great game series.
  13. Nope, I just want a good long entertaining CRPG that is devoid of munchkiness.
  14. I don't know about that. My Scoundrel/Counsuler was a very effective killing machine and had the skill points to to even have high ranks in cross class skills let alone class skills.
  15. Maybe I am just a better player than you. Who knows? "
  16. Maybe you were just not playing Jolee in the right fashion. I used Jolee a lot because he could do a lot of different things and quite easily held his own in a fight. With Stasis Field and Destroy Droid, no one could stop him. Fights in which I had him in my group ended within 2 to 3 seconds. A straight soldier, scout, or scoundrel could not do that. You lose.
  17. With all the space traveling you would think that Astrogate and Pilot would be important skills to have, as well as the weapon feat Starship Gunnery, but Biwoare and now Obsidian cut those corners.
  18. Also Force powers drain Vitality, not a separate "mana" pool.
  19. Its not that hard if you do a lil' research on the subject. Its pretty much the same in the ones in the NWN game for a point of reference, if you played that, but more geared for Science FIction/Star Wars.
  20. All the skills listed in the Star Wars d20 PnP game. Hello, McFly! Sheesh, do I have to explain everything to you guys?
  21. It doesn't matter if they have difficulty in mind, the Jedi classes are so uber that trying to guage difficulty is next to impossible. If you have a party of Jedis they could easily wipe out a small force of enemies. If they made the game that it would be difficult for a party of Jedi to win a fight, then it would be next to impossible for non-jedis to accomplish anything. So they will, logically, balance encounters for the non-jedi, yet force the player to play an uber munchkin character. That is the paradox and why KotOR will never be a great CRPG series.
  22. I don't see the gameplay improving. We are forced to play Jedi and all the Jedi classes play the same. No real variance in class abilities and capabilities. At least gameplay was more varied in the first part of KotOR 1 when you played a Scout, Soldier, and Scoundrel. You couldn't go into combat the same way as a Scoundrel as you would as a Soldier. You would die very quickly. However once you became a Jedi, regardless of class, it just didn't matter any more. Gameplay suffered greatly for that. Now in KotOR 2 you start out as a Jedi. There is no variance at all at the beginning. That one bit of goodness is gone, therefore the quality has shifted.
  23. I think the game has too few skills and that is a bad thing. There should be more.
  24. I am just looking at the game mechanics and it has gone down in quality. They took out the bits of the first one I liked and placed more of the crap that I didn't.
