  1. Do you really need this explained to you to? The stronger one is to the force, the stronger the connection, and when that connection is so strong but then suddenly cut the backlash kills. The weaker one is to the force the less the damage is. For example if Kriea did such attack on Luke before his training on Dagobah he would more than likely survive. However if she did the attack as when he is in the Vector Prime books and later the attack backlash would probably kill him. The stronger you are withthe force, the greater the vulnerability when cut from it. EDIT: Mothman, you need to pay attention more and read between the lines.
  2. I would because it looks and feels that there is a lot of cut content. It feels unfinished.
  3. Just because he was a monster doesn't mean he can't be nice.
  4. Actually the people of Mithril don't know what the big metal giant is, for it just appeared during the Titanwar and defended the city. It could be magic. It could be technological. They just don't know. Lets not forget about Clark's Law either: Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable to magic. Keep in mind that the reverse is also true.
  5. Same here. Its magic.
  6. If you don't like the thread then don't post inthe thread. Simple.
  7. Those were aspect of JE and PST I hated to tell the truth. I want my character to be able to use any weapon and any armor that he has training with and can get training to use any armor or weapon if he so chooses.
  8. Not at all. There has been times where a giant robot has appeared in a Fantasy setting and/or literature. Ever played in the Scarred Lands setting for the 3.5e DnD? In the city of Mithril they have mech sized robot/golem made of Mithril guarding the city. As I said, the Force is magic and if you have enough power you can do anything you want with magic.
  9. It would be cool if they made the sequel and the Operative joins Mal's side. *tee hee*
  10. Hey, it worked for HK-47. The focus of fantasy is its magic. The Force is Magic. Star Wars focus is on the Force, which is magic, therefore fantasy.
  11. In case you didn't notice, THE WHOLE BLOODY THING IS MADE UP! Sheesh.
  12. The Force has always been magic. Its what makes Star Wars a fantasy setting.
  13. Okay, can Tidus use an Axe? Nope.
  14. Don't paint with a wide brush. You simply cheapen the genre. A CRPG has a central character that can be customized by the player. More customization allowed the better. The game uses statistics for the character and how ell a character does within the game is more based on the character's abilities and not the player's. It often has some level of story and exploratory aspects to it as well. If a game doesn't have these basic elements to them then it is not a CRPG.
  15. I am not saying it was good or not, just that is it perfectly possible in using the force the way she did. Magic can do that. Even DnD has the Invisible Spell.
  16. Thing is I want to bbe able to choose my own name, choose what skills I know and lear, choose what clothes, armor, and gear I use, and choose my gender and appearance. All in a nicely balanced game of story and exploration. Hell, the only FF game in which you have any real choice is that damnable MMORPG they made.
  17. THEY DID EXPLAIN IT! It was quite obvious or are you so blind in your own point of view that you cannot see it.
  18. Or it could be a form of telepathy, in controlling one's thoughts and how he or she percieves the world as it is shown in the movie The Shadow. For godsakes man, its the Force. The Force is magic in Star Wars and magic can do anything you goddamn want it to do if you have enough power behind it.
  19. What if I don't want to play a golfer. Instead I want to play a wizard.
  20. When there is a JRPG where I can make my own character instead of a preset model, name, and equipment, then there will be a JRPG worth playing.
  21. Okay, there hasn't been a JRPG that I liked released in years.
  22. I always apply my own criteria.
  23. Oh yes, far fetched in deed like casting lightning from one's hands or choking someone from across the room.
  24. I would not count Fable as a RPG because there are too many out of character aspects to the game and well, it is a rather silly game. Baldur's Gate is a CRPG. Fable is not.
  25. Congratulations!!! You are a proud member of the Greek Pantheon. Renowned for their cleverness, the Greeks, like you, were great at absorbing other's knowledge, technology, styles and people and quickly transforming them into something uniquely Greek. Always looking for the next new thing, your and your Greek pantheon explore all the worlds within and without with frank enthusiasm and a solid assurance that you're the pinnacle of creation. You'll enjoy the rocky sunlit Greek isles, worship in the elegant temples and delight in a bounty of delicious food. A misunderstood loner, Hades bears the burden of ruling the land of the dead. No matter; your Hades identification gives you access to people's secrets and weaknesses which because of your analytical abilities you can quickly use to your own advantage. As the Lord of the Underworld, most everyone and everything is a little afraid of you and you often can use this to get in the first blow in battle. You may also experience the calm that comes from knowing that eventually every mortal is going to end up with you. God Power: Sentinel. Protects a Town Center with four sentinels.
