  1. KotOR 1 and 2 do not feel like PC CRPGs. They feel like ported over CRPGs. That feel comes from the interface as Nartwak stated. Now if we could have controlled the NPCs BG style, have a total party of 4 instead of three, and a freer camera like in NWN then it would feel more like a PC game.
  2. I don't have a burning desire to keep track of my friends. Except for thursday night gaming I pretty much leave them alone and they leave me alone, though we do call each other on times we need a favor or three.
  3. What I would like to see is a merger of an action CRPG with a Space Combat Sim. Deus Ex meets Wing Commander: Privateer sort of thing.
  4. Real time = twitch. Enough said.
  5. There is only one historical figure of the French I really like and that was Joan de'Arc. She kicked major arse.
  6. I don't like the president or prime minister of any country. All politicians need to be shot.
  7. It is safer to assume that everyone is lying til proof otherwise is shown. Everyone looks out for their own best interest. I don't count a object a financial success unless it makes money. I wouldn't call the X Box 360 a financial success for it has a production and marketing costs greater than the number of units sold.
  8. Besides, isn't both Microsoft and Bioware publicly traded companies? Stating financial loss would devalue their stock. Also it would be their best interests to state that Jade Empire was a success just to build hype for the unannounced possible sequel, regardless if it was true or not.
  9. For me the E3 show is a minor event that I barely pay attention to unless a game that looks interesting is being shown that will be soon released. Neverwinter Nights 2 for example, if being shown at E3, would be a relevant.
  10. I don't trust anyone unless I see exact figures and tangible proof. I don't care if they are random posters, Bioware, Microsoft, the Loch Ness monster, or the president.
  11. I am only interested in a game when it is close to release and most of the time it is after its release. Van Buren and jefferson taught me that if you get too excited about a game before it is released it will get canceled. Its still a long time between now and Dragon Age's release and anything can happen between now and then. I don't pay attention to a game being showcased at E3 unless its going to be released within 3 to 4 months at its showing. Anything beyond that is just too long of a wait to build up anticipation.
  12. As far as I know Bioware and Microsoft hasn't gave out any specific numbers of units sold along with the production costs of Jade Empire. Where is the link that Bioware representatives said exactly what were the production costs Volourn? It doesn't matter how many units were sold. The only numbers that matters are the total net profit of the game. Does the revenue earned by selling the game exceeds the cost of production and marketing? Only that number is relevant. That link only gives us games that were critical and commercial (meaning name recognition) success. Not FINANCIAL success.
  13. Mr. Sawyer, that just doesn't make any sort of sense to me. Why make a sequel to a game that is considered a financial failure? It just doesn't make good business.
  14. Not necessarily. Certainly the percentages are larger for developer and publisher but that does not reflect the customer base, which the console market is larger than the PC market.
  15. I don't like westerns unless it involves starships.
  16. Oh yes it does. That is why I listen to Rammstien, metallica (old school), Tool, Korn, and the such when I am driving.
  17. If total production and marketing cost are indeed greater than or barely broke even then Jade Empire is a financial failure. If Jade Empire far exceeded production and marketing costs then it would be a financial success. That is the question here but it seems that we can't get a clear cut answer on production and marketing costs. I don't like estimates. Only way we can make an accurate assessment on this issue if we have exact values of how much the game costed and how much it made in revenue. Otherwise this is just useless conjecture and speculation.
  18. I kind of like the Star Wars Episode 3 l33t sp33k subtitled one.
  19. When I drive I tend to drive defensively and be alert to everything around me. Just because you are a safe driver doesn't mean the bugger in the next lane is.
  20. I surprised that games haven't increased in price then.
  21. Well, moving 60 to 80 miles per hour and smacking into something does not have a pleasant place in my heart.
  22. Might be fine for you but meaningless to me. Just because they had pretty screenshots doesn't mean it should have awards. I rather deal with finished products.
  23. Bioware can't do the third dimension for players.
  24. I don't like being relaxed on long drives. Especially when I am driving.
