  1. I always play the good guy first. But I always do the dark side on another playthrough too.
  2. So, this has probably been covered in the other 22 threads, but I haven't visited in a long time, and do not have the fortitude to read them all. Character customization is a must. Big customization. Races other than human, bajillions of hairstyles, eyecolors, skincolors etc. More choices in character class. I know we're somewhat limited by the Starwars Jedi universe, but I think there's some wiggle room for improvement. In-depth fighting styles to choose from, a certain type (School!) of powers to focus on. More feats. Feats are good. Need more. More item graphics. More sabers, differing robes. (In more than just colors.) Recurring characters, cameos. Of course. A bigger universe. While Kotor2 felt almost overwhelmingly big at first, now it feels so tiny and constricted! There was so much you should have been able to do or explore that you couldn't. More attack animations. If the Pseudo-realtime combat is to be kept, it needs a much greater diversity in the attack animations. Blaster fire sounds toned down! I know that they're just like the movies, but even when the SFX volume is down to almost off on my computer, blaster fire takes up most all of the sound. Alien languages. They need more variety in their audio tracks. And you need to be able to skip them when you've read what they're saying. For the storyline I have plenty of ideas, but no suggestions since I do not know what is going on at Obsidian HQ. I'll leave it to you guys. A non-Falcon rip-off ship! Originality is good. The Hawk is great and all, but I think that a new character should not have the ship thrown in again. Fewer companions, with more attention paid to them. More content with them at the focus. So they really feel like companions instead of, "That guy on the ship that I don't use." More bounty hunting! Don't leave areas or quests unfinished. Seriously. This is pretty much all on my mind right now... I'm sure I'll be back later with more to gripe about! ;D
  3. I had heard that it was leaving Obs and heading back to Bioware. Who knows with the size of the rumor mill (read: internet) out there.
  4. Okay, a quick rundown of "AC" Armor Class! In a D20 system, basically, you roll a 20-sided die, and add your attack bonus to it. Your Armor Class is the number to beat, so to speak. So, you have 20 AC. Their roll and attack bonus combined need to be below that (and outside the critical hit {read: automatic hit} range) to miss. The reason dexterity is important in this, is that every two points into Dexterity, add a point to AC (unarmored or robes). Or allows you to make use of dexterity bonuses in armor. (AC +5, Max dex bonus of +3 -- Means you can get +8 to AC out of the armor if you have a Dexterity mod of +3 {16 dex} anything over that will be restricted by the armor.) Reflexes aren't for melee combat, they're for skills(powers) and items(such as grenades) that require "saves." This works much the same way as AC. You have a set number to beat, usually listed in the power or item. You roll, and add your Reflex bonus. So let's say an item has a DC (difficulty check) of 15. To take half damage. They attack! OMG ROLL, FOOL! You roll an 8, with a bonus of +6. You take full damage! You roll a 9, you take half damage (Unless you've got the improved evasion feats, where you take no damage.) ---- On Topic - The combat system, I like, though it needs tweaking. If the rumor of JEing it up is true, I'm sure it will not be a straight port, but will be tweaked substantially to fit the KotoR world.
  5. When I think Goto... I think... The same as HK-47, I suppose. "Fat one."
  6. I lik eyour Idea Only thing is in Kotor 2 I ended up with an assload of Onassi blasters and one of them I got On the Damn Ship I know it sounds a little crazy but Finding Jolee Bindo's Belt on the Ravenger get's pretty Crappy because there is no way it could have gotten onthere I killed him on the Unknown planet or he went with me to the star forge and we saved the galaxy but there is no way he left it on the Ravenger because So the random GEnerator thing was cool but let's try to put some limits on it because really the lsa thing I want is to end up with 600 (over exageration) onassi blasters which should be rare! even though I didn't even Like the Guy he's a whiny bitch but then again alot of people in starwars that are cool are whiny bitches! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> mm well the idea doesn't have to mean specific character's equipment, just things that exude a "neat" factor. As to Jolee's belt... Well, it could have snagged on branch over in Wookie-land, where a Czerka employee found it. He promptly sold it for quite a profit to an intergalatic traveler who thought his cousin would like it. His cousin indeed did, but was soon "recruited" into the sith army. His prized posession was confiscated by a superior officer at port. That officer served on the Ravenger, where it was found by The Exile. The end!
  7. Alrighty, my three cents. We know, from TSL, that Revan has gone into the depths of space to fight uber bad-guys. The Exile (potentially) is off to do the same, as we know by T3 and/or Kreia recruiting you. So... the question is, 12 years later... what will have happened? We know that the Jedi Order is being rebuilt by the cast of TSL. (Well, or they're all dead, but not sure what to do if that's the case...) Revan should have made some sort of appearance in that time, most likely to The Exile's friends to shape the training. Because manipulation is what Revan does best. Now, to the future! Who will the lead be? Well... I'd certainly like a bit of a choice race-wise from the force-sensitive races out there... And lots and lots of faces and other customization choices. I think the key to this game is going to be strength. The "true sith" whoever they may be, seem like total badasses to have Revan worried. And to have to have a whole game's worth of training for The Exile. How to feel strong and keep the game challenging without getting into adding a ridiculous number of zeroes to your stats... Suppose that one's on you all. But I don't think anyone really wants to go through the whole... "Yay, I r teh padawan?!" thing again. Companions... Them having backgrounds is always interesting. And the influence system was interesting, if not annoying. It was certainly a lot nicer than the, "You leveled up, talk to <insert_whining_republic_admiral_here>," that the first one had. I'd to see the system tweaked, but I'm not exactly sure how one would go about that. And variety is always nice. Also, some reappearances of Revan's companions would be welcome, hopefully with the same voices, but new stories to tell. Feats, Roles, and other. In the game so far, there are basically three modes of play. Zot the hell out of everything, chop things with two sabers, shoot things with two guns. I'd like to see some more diversity added. Perhaps the dueling feats looked over or added to so single-saber is a viable choice. Same with guns. Unarmed combat needs something to make it feel special as well -- Like the monk class in DnD (stuns, special bonuses while unarmed - Sorta like Bao-dur). Force powers are fun, and I think everyone would like to see some new ones. Planets... Well... Kill the "Go to four and collect stuff!" quest. It was done to death in both games, not to mention NWN and its first expansion. Kill me now. Diversity is nice. New planets, new environments, and signature planets from the movies are always welcome. Bad guys... If you're going to put super-duper cool badguys in... Give us a little bit of information on them. Darth Nihilus was honestly one of the greatest villains since Darth Maul, and suffered from the same problem. "Who the hell IS he?" Syndrome. We like to know who we're fighting against. *Cough* Malak, you traitorous bastard, die! *Cough* Items. Playing through so you get a different set of items each time you play... and the ability to play through 3 or 4 times before you get a repeat of "cool" items. Would be nice. (Don't read that as make cool items rare, read it as put lots for the games randomizer to choose from in.) New types of armor, unique looks, customizable armors. Dye-able armors. Custom hilts for our lightsaber(s). Go crazy. Mini-games. In Jedi-Knight III, They have some seriously cool Episode 6 speeder action. Things like that are enjoyed by most, as long as you don't make it mandatory and repeat it a thousand times. And it's a welcome diversion from the normal hack and slash story mode. Sometimes people just wanna have fun with cool toys. I'm sure I'll think of more things later, but this is what I've got for now. It's 4:30 in the morning and I'm tired, lemme alone! Anyways, my thoughts. And ideas. And stuff.
