  1. Private Division published Kerbal Space Program and it is on GOG so that has my hopes up.
  2. Oh yes, I just noticed you replied to my question in the pre orders thread. Sigh...not Denuvo.
  3. Maybe for future Obsidian games but Outer Worlds is listed on Steam..... The publishing deal with Private Division predates the Microsoft buy out. So anything is possible regarding this or at least I hope so. Are we so certain that even other future Obsidian games will be exclusive to the Microsoft store...even if it is likely the case?
  4. I just saw the announcement trailer and have wish listed the game at Steam. I am looking for ward to playing it. But I would like to see it at GOG or at the very least DRM free on Steam. Is there any official announcement from Obsidian as to whether Outer Worlds will be DRM free at Steam and if it will be at the GOG store front in the future? I made this GOG wishlist for Outer Worlds. https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/outer_worlds Hopefully many people will vote. Thanks
  5. I would love to get a box set for this. Any chance that it will be on GOG or DRM free on Steam?
  6. Pillars of Eternity is DRM free on Steam. You do not need to have the steam client running to play the game. There are quite a few games that are DRM free on Steam. As Solamyas said, Steam, in this case, is a download manager like GOG or Humble Bundle.
  7. How are you not mentioning Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky (you know people who actually made Arcanum) in your pitch Also, typos. How are you not mentioning Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky (you know people who actually made Arcanum) in your pitch Also, typos. Ye... Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky are not mentioned at all in the petition and was Troika Games mentioned either? It's their baby, not Black Isle's or Obsidian's In light of new information, and to address your concerns and criticisms, I have made some changes to the pitch. I have made more mention of Troika and the founding creators.

Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky are not mentioned at all in the petition and was Troika Games mentioned either? It's their baby, not Black Isle's or Obsidian's I mentioned Troika Games "This is a beautifully designed game in a Steam Punk world filled with magic and machines developed by Troika games."
  9. How are you not mentioning Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky (you know people who actually made Arcanum) in your pitch Also, typos. Hi Infinitron, I did not mention Tim Cain, Leonard Boyarsky, or for that matter Jason D. Anderson because the Petition is for Activision to allow Obsidian to use the Arcanum IP. I did not want a convoluted pitch. I was also not aware that Tim Cain was involved with Obsidian at this time. Some of the people signing the petition have stressed their interest in Tim Cain working on a new Arcanum project. So it could very well happen, but I will leave those details to Obsidian. And thanks for pointing out the typos. I will try and correct any mistakes I spot. Cheers
  10. You will be given the choice of GOG or Steam. If you go to the fig campaign site and look at the supported platforms under the introductory video you can see GOG and Steam as well as Windows, Mac, and Linux. https://www.fig.co/campaigns/deadfire#forum
  11. I have been looking into the switch and I am not sure if it would be able to handle a game with the scope..and size of Pillars of Eternity or similar games. I could be wrong, but it is not a powerful system and it has limited space do to its use of SD cards. It is the equivalnt of a mid range tablet. I think it has a tegra quad core processor and its graphic capabilities are minimal. It will handle games optimized and designed exclusively for that system easily enough but if you look at the PC games being ported they are mostly low requirement games. Look at Undungeon as an example. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/laughingmachines/undungeon-pixelart-action-rpg-with-roguelike-eleme?ref=user_menu Which is a great game by the way. I backed it :D but it is not a beast when it comes to system requirements. Hopefully the devs can shed some light on this.
  12. Hi Folks, I just signed on to the Obsidian forum. I am a backer at the Pillars 2 :Deadfire Fig campaign. It has come to my attention that Obsidian has shown some interest in making a game in the Arcanum universe. Activision owns the IP. I have made a petition at change.org. For the time being the petition results will be forwarded to Activision's Investor Relations Department. The information can be found here. http://investor.activision.com/contactus.cfm I have been in contact with them by email notifying them of the petition. I feel like there will be a lot interest in this here. Please feel free to sign and share with any friends, groups, and forums you think will be interested. If you do post at another site please share that information here so we don't spam a site or forum too much. Thank you https://www.change.org/p/ir-activision-com-petition-to-lease-the-arcanum-ip-to-obsidian-entertainment?source_location=minibar Regards
