  1. Hi As in this thread and others had commented The level cap is too low.. but what if we had an easy to put together last DLC? I say 'easy' but game design is never 'easy' but in comparison to the other DLCs.. this would be a light amount of work. Imagine on Monarch, The Board had a secret.. the reason they didn't invest in Monarch was because of the 'monsters'.. but ones that weren't commonly known about. In this DLC you receive a Communiqué from The Board that all settlements on Monarch are being threated and 30 of their troopers have died already. This of course has the Board worried about Law Suits from the troopers families as it does not fall under the death clauses of their contracts. We set off for Monarch with a new destination.. Monarch West (The Pit)*.. The landing pad is behind a massive rock (so the ship is not smashed) we go outside and get a quick cutscene of a Cloverfield sized Manta called 'Manta Emperor' ending with you and the up to two party members running back inside.. ADA informs you 'we cannot lift off captain, until the threat outside is dealt with'.. 'May I suggest all crew members fight together to bring down this assailant?' Parvati interject before the captain can answer 'I have been working on a MEGA-GUN on my spare times.. y'know beef up the ships defences with a little offense.. I don't know if its ready.. we would have weaken the creature lot before we could try it..' The selection screen for leaving the ship comes up, but this time we are choosing a 'First Officer' to lead the second team.. you then choose who you want for your team and the remainder will go with your FO. Your adreno rations are now split in half. Bonuses from both teams only apply when you are within 200 years of each other. Manta Emperor Pretty much Cloverfield style He has Manta-Queens dropping off him while whole the team traverse 'The Valley'.. when weakened he has the option to go back in his cave to eat glowing crystals to regain health but if he is aggro'd enough he will keep fighting. Once severely weakened he goes nuts and just starts chasing the team then gets his head stuck in-between the wall and giant rock.. its at this point ADA asks you if she will fire the cannon.. you have a dialogue option.. that doesn't matter because its just a comedy moment of 'will I have to do this all again' as Parvati and then the whole team start shouting 'YES!! .. FIRE!!' .. ADA fires the MEGA-GUN and Manta Emperor's head explodes. We get a unique item suited for each crew member and ton of XP and cash; 2 levels XP and 450,000 bits. + Board rep. We can now continue further into the Valley and so on to the 'Mouth of the Pit'.. at the Mouth of the Pit a Cloverfield sized: Giga-Sprat who has gotten himself stuck in the hole.. he can spit corrosive and swipe are the two teams but at this stage cannot leave the hole he is stuck in.. this is to suck the players in that this is an easy fight.. no. he gets free when his swiping knocks over a massive boulder that cracks the side of the Pit (the hole he is stuck in) .. he can now eat party members. They give him indigestion but he can eat up to three before he has to sick them up. If he dies with a party member inside him you have to go inside to retrieve/revive them. Reward: unique armour for each crew member. 5 levels and 1,000,000 bits. ++ Board rep. Forward into 'The Pit'. It *was* a gaping hole but with the boulder cracking the side of the mouth we now have a *slight* staircase to this very deep cavern. As the crew lands they see massive SAM robots in pieces .. this is the scene of a battle past.. The Crew start to worry with Max asking the captain 'are you sure we should be down here captain?'. Hyper-Eurayle (lvl 75+ recommended) As the Crew walk further down the tunnel.. getting wetter and wetter.. until the crew realize they are inside a stomach.. who doesn't want to have that kind of adventure?? .. there is a trick.. if you can't kill her, you can 'Grumpy' your way out (see Land of the Lost movie).. if you're there to fight.. you need to get one team to the brainstem while the other fires at the lungs.. mess up and her stomach acid will wipe out the lung team.. mess up with the brain team and you will end up in her mouth with many sharp teeth.. Beat her and.. Rewards: 10 levels 5,000,000 bit and 5 unique weapon mods & 5 unique armour mods.. these are always returned and three perks per mod. Mods makes non-unique nameable and unique. +++ Board rep. On the other side there is a landing pad and Felix comments 'Hey why didn't we land here??' and Nyoka turns around to him and says' You CRAZY??.. so we go up that things ass fight it and.. what do you think that GIGA Sprat would have sprayed at us?? 'bout lost your mind boy!' Felix embarrassed 'oh. yeah..' Dava *West of the large structure on the hill.. West of the Monarch Settlements. I got loads of bad karma with the board would like a chance to clean that up so I can buy out the byz weapon shop. fyi.
  2. I'm in the same boat as BHarger.. I finished Gorgon without realizing there was a level cap hit 36 and still to do Eridanos .. I *get* level caps.. I'm a vet FO player which is where I learned to appreciate them.. but wow this was waaayy too soon. imho.. 50lvl would have been conservative.. this is just straight up constricting. Please patch this Devs. ------------ 50 = conservative 75 = middling 100 = generous or tedious depending on your playstyle. 36 = Don't want to play Eridanos without lvl and point rewards. .. 3 lvls per DLC.. wow I soaked that up like it was nothing.
  3. Dialogue options can cure many a'thing .. if you don't want to do something in a RPG.. you don't have to as long as its designed in a balanced way. 'forced' is a bit strong imho.. then again I feel forced to pay bank breaking sums for Parvati just to get a good outcome because the Devs didn't balance it for both sides (that I can get a good outcome some other way). I never played any Mass Effects.. and it wasn't what I was drawing from. And I agree.. I do think TOW2 should have a new character. Perhaps I wasn't clear.. I am saying all Captains.. *could* feel married to their ship.. and the Unreliable just so happens to have a sentient A.I. .. I say all this because the Devs obviously didn't want to have to deal with romance for the main character. If you're already married in a game.. then.. no need for the extra romance.
  4. Hi Something I would like to have seen.. marking weapons/armor/items as important by the player.. and unique items being automatically marked. You can unmark items just as anything you already marked as important.. this is to prevent salvage/break down accidentally. DCUO (DC Universe Online) has this system .. and I use it daily. There seems to be an ability to mark items already.. but what it does I am not at all sure, as I was able to break down a marked item without extra confirmation. Dava -------------- and if anyone knows what the marking of items is in the menu.. please lmk.
  5. This (romance) thing might have been a dodge guys.. I mean.. does anyone remember the Veronica + dress thing? (FONV) I was days in real life iirc.. 3 days I think in real life trying to get her a dress thinking it would romance her.. to find out she was gay O_O Making the main character 'married' to ADA enables the Devs to 'skip the fence' on the whole thing.. it's obvious that *if* given ADA is sentient.. it's obvious that A.I. are painfully shy about emotions, let alone sexuality. I imaged a scene.. once a week on the same day you get a dialogue option.. in her entertainment option.. she asks 'You seem stressed Captain, would you enjoy some relaxation?'.. the player can answer 'hmm' or 'uugmm' .. if 'hmm' is selected the screen goes black and we switch to outside the room door where the rest of the crew are huddled around the door trying to listen, wondering what's going on and commenting..'it's been 3 hours.. what are they doing in there??'.. the door opens and our character emerges somewhat disheveled and each crew member starts walking away not making eye contact, looking at the ground.. clearing their throats 'Captain.' The game is rated 17+ so.. it's not for little kids. It's already taking very strong themes of Imperialism/corporate fascism.. so again not for little kids. Aya from The Green Lantern Animated Series.. was very tastefully done.. but here we have more comedic tones hence the scene above. I totally agree, I also expected a side quest about her modifications, due to the hooks. For ADA I also feel this should be part of a DLC or AOC (Add On-Content).. maybe even her own little AOC..?.. or maybe even her own DLC? ------------- What I'm saying is.. its a pretty solid trope for OB to just to keep going.. Captains are married to their ship.. and I mean this as an on-going theme.. in FO.. you get a Vault.. TOW you get a ship (Hope).. going forward as as an idea in TOW2.. due to ADA being the first sentient A.I. that we know of. *(although I haven't completed my playthrough yet but dialogue options are exhausted with ADA).. ADA 1. criticizes your hygiene 2. pokes fun at your friends. 'Nyoka is drunk again. surprise!' 3. says 'warm' things for a A.I. like 'be safe'..or 'be careful. I require a Captain to operate' meaning she is saying in her own way she needs you. 4 She seems submissive. Telling you she must comply with all your orders.. for an A.I. that might be considered flirting? Although I admit the vocal tone isn't flirty sounding. 5. she has a sense of humor.. even one that is uniquely her own. And if ADA *is* your wife .. it's pretty important to help her recover her past. She's probably even from Earth.. wow.

  7. Hi I have immersed myself in The Outer Worlds.. it's a great game. There is however something I expected but it did not happen.. spherical worlds.. I mean I just assumed the worlds would be planet like.. so for the next Outer Worlds.. a suggestion. Now.. I don't expect earth planet sized worlds.. and just like the real world.. a lot would be barren or barren and hostile .. here is where I suggest the 'join up' happens. 'a no mans land' kinda deal. The menu map could be.. just like the open world of Final Fantasy VII with much updated graphics ..and something like Google Earth. You could still fast travel in this suggestion.. and maps could be the same as now if zoomed in enough. I would update the flight map too.. make it a bit more Universe Sandbox and less.. well you know what I mean. I don't need a 1:1 space sim.. but more than what we have just now would be nice imho. Thanks for reading Dava ---------- Check out Universe Sandbox.. its really cool for playing with planets. For decades.. gamers have pondered.. 'who will be the first to bring us a planet?'.. FO came close giving us US states.. I wonder if OB will give us planets? Scale sized could be modified.. and gravity isn't just mass, its atmospheric pressure too, this is how you can have smaller planets/moons with decent gravity afaik.
  8. Hi Like many players that I have seen around the internet.. I was pretty bummed when I found out no romance for the main character.. but then.. ADA said something.. She said a 'wife like thing' .. do not disturb my sleeping cycle upon your return.. like.. don't wake me up when you get back in.. that's something your wife would say.. So that got me thinking.. even as a retcon; is Ada our wife and that's why we can't have relationships? because we are already married? ADA mourns Alex like he is her former husband.. could it be in this world 'a captain is married to their ship' ?.. and due to ADA being sentient this means our character is *actually* married to ADA.. 'actually' is a bit strong.. but they would have a 'special relationship' so much so.. ADA would get jealous, and I think she already expressed this when Ellie first came on board iirc Just a thought that made me feel better about the no romance.. super easy to retcon. Dava
  9. I feel the same.. I feel that IF you have 100% rep with both factions and even if you get Zora's Review later (situation I am in.. Sanjar doesn't have the dialogue option) there should be an 'out'.. I would suggest a 'catch-all' of [Intimidate 100] 'You are either going to make peace.. or I kill you ALL!' If the player is REALLY dedicated to peace and doesn't have the Skill Points for the intimidation 100... they will grind to get it.. that shows a commitment to peace.. grrrr.. peace.. do as I tell you! I did it all naturally.. no guides followed.. but I hadn't found Zora's review until after I had the module .. I also had the BOLT52 on me when he asked.. how on earth am I penalized for that??

Hi Not 100% on how this is supposed to work.. but around level 16 their perk points just stopped.. here's some picture: So.. if I got Max at level 8 and the companions get a perk every other level.. thats 11 levels and so thats 5 perk points total.. yes? or did I understand this wrongly? It's not just Max.. I have been playing Nyoka too..and her situation is the same but I have yet to check on the others.. any help, confirmation or furtherment of my understanding would be appreciated.. Dava
  11. Hi I just want to check before reporting a bug.. at level 19.. how many perk point should my companions have? I started noticing around level 16 my companions weren't getting perk points like usual.. but I am human and might be mistaken. thanks in advance Dava ------- Edit: Think I might just report this with pics and let the Devs decide..
  12. those are fair comments guys. It's a real shame though if it turns that way.. OB did such a good job with NV, introducing improved systems, direct humor content, and the story..some parts really moved me. But.. this does make for lacking of confidence in the franchise.. as I see more publishers taking longer to make single player games. ES VI will eat all Bethesda's time after Fallout.. could the next Fallout be 6 years away??.. if that's the case. wow.
  13. Hi Guys Im new here, please be kind. Despite the title.. I don't want to 'chase the goat around with a new stick', I realize we haven't even played fallout 4 yet..but for the sake of both sated curiosity and franchise confidence, please share if there is anything on the horizon for a new OB Fallout second tier release*. I understand there was a legal battle and the correct people won, thankfully,..now after the long wait for the main title.. I'd just like to check if we might see OB Fallout in.. 2 years?? A lot to hope for... FO4 will keep us going for a loong while yet, but that 7 years waiting for a main.. ouch! I love NV. hey! that should be a t-shirt like 'i love NY' hehe, I have well over 1000 in NV. thank you! Can we please go somewhere other than the northern americas? fans have been asking and asking for Europe..could this be a possibility*? Well if i'm the first to post talking about this; I should be ashamed! haha thanks for reading. Dava *note just to be clear, 'second tier' does not mean 'second rate'.. it is a subsequent release by a similar studio as a more 'experimental' branch of the franchise.. the experimental idea is from an OB Dev whom i saw interviewed whilst demo'ing NV on youtube.. second tier was originally a R* GTA strategy for carving up console device game versions to give to their different studios. They also used it for story continuity in game series/era. imho 4 years per game is fair to fans and devs alike. Sec.tier launched 2 years after main. * ..more likely China in lieu of the fact of the huge amount of backstory that's there already. I suggest both.. they both would be a great adventure. but I guess im rooting for Glasgow my home city haha One wise Dev said 'we are the sorcerers of our age, we are the wish fulfilment fairies of a new digital life'
