  1. Playing through the game after a long time away. I just killed Raedric and got the 2H sword 'Justice'. Its description and Enchant page both say it has the "Fine" enchantment, but it doesn't have the +4 Accuracy, just the damage. No matter who I give it to, it has precisely 4 less Accuracy than a regular Fine 2H sword. I'd have assumed it really has Damaging 1, except that if you try and add Fine, the Enchant page says "Justice already has enchantment Fine" EDIT: Ok. nvm I guess. Restarting the game fixed it... Though that's another problem entirely, I suppose.
  2. Somebody doesn't know what "random" means. Or how accuracy works in this game. That's precisely bad luck, and not even very unlikely bad luck tbh It's perfectly possible to roll several or many low rolls. Just like you can get 5 tails in a row flipping coins, or even ten or more. It's also right and proper that it be so. It's a 0-100 roll. Your Accuracy *modifies* the roll already, right after.. High enough accuracy and misses become less and less possible. Making low rolls is always just as likely as making any other rolls, but they matter less with higher ACC
  3. The change appears to have been to make summoned weapons get credit from more talents. They have worked work with every appropriate talent I tried on my wizard chars. The talents recognize if the weapon is ranged or melee. (so a melee talent won't work on a summoned wizard wand for instance). They receive an accuracy bonus regardless if they correspond to specific weapon types listed in the talents (e.g. the accuracy talents). I haven't tried stacking multipel bonuses though. They are still the base weapon type. Hence a wand is still a wand, but it also a "universal" weapon if it was summoned. So it can get credit from wand talents (e.g. dangerous implements, blast, etc), and talents flagged to apply to universal types. If u want to try something particular, just save game, go to an inn, reroll, and attack inn patrons and see if the bonus applies. I appreciate the response. Is there a list somewhere? I wouldn't even know where to start. (not to mention it'd take a while) I mean, of course a wand talent should work with a summoned wand, a two-handed talent with a summoned staff, but I've no idea what sorts of talents the devs decided, "Yup, this talent and this talent should apply to *all* summoned weapons, no matter the type". I mean, I'm attempting to build a melee wizard using the parasitic staff and I'd like to know what talents that aren't obviously connected to this type were so important the devs created a new category for.
  4. Still no real answer? A google got me nothing but this thread...
  5. I seem to have fixed it unintentionally. It was through my Logitech headphones (not sure about speakers. Haven't got any bar the ones on the monitor, which I've long since disabled). Just so happens I got a new Logitech mouse but had trouble getting them to play nice. I reinstalled Logitech's software from a clean boot, fixing that issue. It also seemed to fix the audio issue, even though that was happening before I'd even purchased the new mouse. Could just be coincidence, and the issue has only temporarily stopped. I'll play on and report back if it arises again. If not, thanks for the attempted assistance!
  6. I just got to Durance, and it's happening with him. Nearly every line he speaks (every time a new 'page' opens after picking a dialogue or clicking"continue" that is) starts off about two seconds in, cutting out the first few words or so. I've not gone any further because I'd like to get this figured out first.
  7. I have this issue still. Steam version, fully up to date.
  8. My game just updated and the problem still exists. I'm not sure whether "the next update" was that one or not, though, since I haven't played in a day or more so disregard this if it wasn't.
  9. To add: I just noticed that changing the font size has an effect. It's strange. It seems like longer books tend to be more likely to be stuck further down the screen, to the point where with the longest ones you can just make out the top sliver of 'parchment'. If you decrease the font below 100%, the lower you go the higher long books will open on the screen, until eventually at 70 *most* will open in the middle of the screen. The opposite applies. Turn up the font and longer books will be invisible, hidden below the screen, and shorter books that used to appear in the middle will open lower down. I'd originally wondered if somehow my gedosato downsampling was doing it (even though it worked fine before), but no. Even without it the problem exists.
  10. I've got this exact problem. Most books stick to the bottom of the screen, cut off. They can only be moved horizontally. It tends to be books, though scrolls sometimes open in random places (Why doesn't right-clicking again close the window, btw? The whole system of opening/closing descriptions is awkward and broken) This is *with* the beta patch on Steam. it's not exclusive to it, however.
