  1. This is my second playthrough, so there are 6 companions only that I never use them before. So if I do not want to use Devil of Caroc, the remaining choice for me is Maneha. Just want to know whether she will interject as much as Zahua or as quiet as Devil of Caroc. I also don't know whether Devil of Caroc will have more comments in Act 3 and 4 compared to Act 2. If yes perhaps I will still bring her along.
  2. I like companion interjections in main quests and side quests, and the original companions are quite good in this. I brought zahua and devil of caroc for my second playthrough, and I almost complete all quests in act 2 now... Zahua speaks sometime, not as frequently as the original companion, but Still acceptable for me. But for devil of caroc... `I really like her setting and personality, but she only speak twice in all quests of act 2...I found this hardly acceptable for a "companion"..she is like sidekick in poe2 outside of white march... I'm not sure whether she will say anything else in act 3 and 4 quests.. should I just use her for white march only? How about maneha? Does she speak more than devil of caroc in original quests? Comparable to zahua?
  3. 1) Played without any patch and completed it when the first patch was released. 2) Do you mean DLC companions will interject in Quests outside of White March but not as much as the original companions? 5) I tried to find some recommended builds for monk but I found that most of the builds are using godlike race for their racial ability or something like that... Not sure if the monk is good if I copy those for my human monks. As for my human MC, I'm looking for build suggestion that is good in tanking / damage with light armor / robe + fists only (role playing purpose). Any advice?
  4. Bought the game once it was released and finished my first playthrough many years ago. I was a mage and my party members were Eder, Durance, Grieving Mother, Pellegina, Aloth. Completed POE2 with the same MC, Eder, Aloth, Pellegina and Xoti. I didn't try the expansions for POE1 and I heard that it was highly recommended. I'm still considering whether I should start a new game with different companions for POE1 and use the new MC to start another playthrough in POE2 when the expansions are released. So, some questions here, kindly advise me: 1) I know that White March 1+2 are good, but how about the main content, are there many new contents comparing to the firstly release version? a) Any new quests / area in Act 1, 2 and 3? b) I heard that the stronghold content has been improved, may I know what has been added? c) How about the combat experience / difference compared to the first release? 2) I really like companions' interjections in the main story / side quests. Do the DLC companions interject as frequently as the original companions outside of White March? 3) For story / banter / interjection, which of the following companions are most recommended? - Devil of Caroc, Maneha, Zahua, Hiravias, Sagani, Kana 4) I remember that Eder, Durance, Grieving mother and Aloth have quite good story, interesting personality / setting and interjections. Are the remaining companions stated above have similar level of story / interjections? I worry that their contents will be too disappointing for a new playthrough, because I heard some companions do not have as many dialogues as the better written companions such as those that I had experienced during my first playthrough. 5) Party advice for battle (normal difficulty): My companions options are Devil of Caroc, Maneha, Zahua, Hiravias, Sagani, Kana , and for MC, I'm considering Paladin or Monk, with a preference to monk (since I never play a monk MC in any crpg before) a) Can a party with two monks (MC and Zahua) without warrior / paladin tank and deal good damage at the front line? b) If I choose monk as MC, kindly advise me on the recommended roles that I should have for my companions. It looks like the companions stated above are lacking of control / healing / buffing from classes such as paladin / priest / mage. So I'm not sure whether this party can survive properly under normal difficulty. Long questions and appreciate your help:)
  5. thanks everyone, one more question, if I play as a paladin, which of the following companions will be better for both story (banter, interjection) and also can have good balance in combats: Caroc, maneha, zahua, hiravias, sagani, kana I'm sure I would like to bring zahua and caroc, but still unsure about the others
  6. Maneha can be obtained at the beginning of white march 1? I thought need to finish white march part 1 to get her? For story wise , such as interesting story, banter and comment in main and side quests, which five companions are better? Caroc, maneha, zahua, hiravias, sagani, kana
  7. Adding something, i don't want to play a Mage since i was a Mage during my first playthrough. I feel like my party in both poe1 and 2 is lacking of control or debuff if the MC is tank..
  8. I am going to try the companions that are different from my first playthrough. I plan to bring: POE1: Kana Rua, Sagani, Hiravias, Devil of Caroc, Zahua POE2: Tekehu, Maia Rua, Ydwin (will be DLC companion, must believe >-<), Rekke / Mirke / Fassina / Serafen (Hopefully one of the sidekicks here will become companion in DLC so that I can choose them, otherwise may just pick Serafen or any intersting new DLC companion) Looking for some advice on my MC class /build which can complement better with the companions that I plan to bring~ Thanks ya~ PS: Normal difficulty

  10. I plan to get them as early as possible so that I can see if they have any comment or opinion in the main and side quests outside of white march...so I plan to keep most side content for them, but I guess I still need to complete some quests to gain level until 10.. which I remember i need to finish most of act 1 and act 2 to get this level ?
  11. Planning for second playthrough with dlc, I know I can go to white march starting act 2, but I'm not sure whether I can just quickly go into their area and recruit them whitout finish most of the dlc content first. I plan to keep the dlc quests after completing act 2 and 3. Do I need to play a lot of main quest in white march first in order to get them?
  12. Bg2 has the best Mage fight and I'm not sure why there is no crpg with similar level since bg2.. perhaps it is considered too complicated if they make it like bg2 nowadays..
  13. I hope we can have trading in this game like uncharted water series
  14. I read something from forum and expected them to have as many dialogues as Mazzy in Balder's Gate 2. However, I found that my first sidekick (massage guy) is quite disappointing, just very short conversation then he joined and he does not look like will be involved in any major side quest like Mazzy or give some comments during the main or side quests. In bg2, companion with fewer stories still comment and talk with the other companions and npc sometime. So I would like to ask, are the sidekicks in this game talk as much as bg2? Do they involve a lot in one major side quest like Mazzy? Do they give some opinions in main quests? How about other side quest? Do they talk to other companions or side kick or vela (as banter)? Or, do they really say anything else after joining the party? If they just keep quiet after joining, then it is quite disappointing..
  15. My first loading everytime I open this game can be very slow, it may take more than 1 minutes, I think the first loading time has been increased after patching to 1.03. Kindly help to improve the loading time.
  16. Save file size is increasing slowly and this makes the loading and saving time increase as well. My save file is 2mb now, and I noticed that loading and saving are getting slower (loading may take around 1 minute). I'm in Act 2 now and many maps are still unexplored. I estimate the save file size may become 4~5mb if i try to finish everything, and I can't imagine how long does it take for loading and saving. I truly hope that the loading time can be improved, or at least, we should be allowed to enable/ disable the autosave.
