  1. Coolios. I just have a low tolerance rate for people who talk like him. It *was* a nice gameplay addition, I'll say that.
  2. Which also means that when you have reinforcements, they can come from ANYWHERE on the battle map, trickle in one by one no matter whether you want them to or not, and are invisible until they enter the map. So your own reinforcements come STRAIGHT INTO THE ENEMY'S ARMY even if you didn't want them to, you have no way of knowing until they actually do it, and they trickle in one by one to get slaughtered, even fi in the campaign map they aren't positioned like that at all. I still like the game but it's like CA got one good concept going, then decided to make the same flawed gem over and over again with NEW GRAFIX... and now throw in Steam just to 'innovative' on the mental retardation front.
  3. Yeah, but it's not exactly 'timely' when they release three games with the EXACT SAME BUG for ... what is it, 6, 7 years?
  4. When you go to the GNR you are given a pretty standard quest to help Three Dog, who then tells you to go find Doctor Li in Rivet City. Then you again do some stuff and soon after find your dad. You missed a large chunk of the main story, but that's only because the story is so short. The FO3 main story is 100% filled with crap, so I'd actually say this is a good thing. It won't break the main plot, by the way, I've heard of a few other people doing the same. By the way, the endgame is faaairly obvious. It's after a very big explosion. It basicallly depends on whether you still want to experience the main story at least once. If so, reload, but don't get any hopes up. It's easily one of the weakest parts of the game. I also turn 3 Dog off because his constant prattling annoys me, but if you enjoy that, you might listen to Di more than me.
  5. 165cm & 50-55kg is pretty reasonable I think. I'm gaining a bit of weight these days, though it doesn't seem to mean muscles. I can't stand being in a gym, that's probably why. Family collaboration where members aren't willing is rarely a good idea. Argh, they better give me some money or I'll become Guy-Who-Got-Admitted-But-Couldn't-Afford-It-So-Now-Goes-To-Whatsitsnameagain?
  6. I'm talking to one of my female friends right now. About DNA mutations!
  7. More than four would also need to give you more time to choose, or risk being "OMG".
  8. I'm scared, but then, your kid will probably outgrow me in two years given how tiny I am. I've been admitted to NYU, but they didn't mention any money so I probably didn't get any. Which means I probably can't go.
  9. Actually, I think it should have been August/September. Pushing back the date is all good, but I can't get over this obsession pubs have about not releasing anything in the summer. Now it'll compete with DA and whatever else.
  10. Sure you do. mkreku's long-standing stick-up-the-beef-jerky is actually legitimate and I'll be waiting to see how AP fares on that point.
  11. Josh developed Super Mario Galaxy in his spare time, using nothing but an old Commodore chipset and a pair of tweezers. Still waiting for those letters and weighing my options on grad school. As taks says it's pretty useful for theory-heavy areas and I'll probably end up in some sort of research-oriented career anyway, rather than straight up content creation. Just hope I don't get stuck in a prof. role or in some research office somewhere though, at least not yet. GD weighs twice as much as me.
  12. AP might have gone through a re-draft fairly early in development, as happens often with games.
  13. Had my first elephant battle wiping out the Mughals. Their entire army ran full speed at my left flank with no rhyme or reason, because thats where the artillery was (Go AI!), but the elephants did a nice job rolling up the line and decimating the guards units. I managed to win by pinning them down with Sepoy natives then having grenadiers behind lob the bombs. Lots of casualties though.
  14. Face it, all Obs-related names sound totally emo. We should go with Grobnar and the Little Wizards.
  15. Saw the whole thing finally, looks great fun. The faces *are* wooden but the voices and the dialogue was good, the CQC looks really fun and generally I think it'll be a good fun game.
  16. Aghhh. After several failed downloads I only got the first 3 minutes 30 and it cut off a little into the gameplay trailer!! It's really the first time seeing it in action and in motion, the game has a Thief 3 feel for me. Like, I dont' know the technical stuff, but I always liked how everything (the characters especially) had this weird 'leathery' look. Not the most realistic but I thought it was really appealing and I'm glad to see AP do it. The faces look pretty stiff in that "You are operating under AP" bit, but I like Thorton's voice as well. I also noticed the frame-drop in that conversation with the big TV screen. Ok, let's see if it downloads thist ime.
  17. You can select the crew then hover your cursor over the guns, and you will get a hand cursor. Click and they will man the guns again.
  18. I was defending a star fort from the French retaliation, and had two rockets in the centre firing at them. They began climbing the walls en masse at one concentrated position and broke through, which I was pleasantly surprised with... until they ALL ran past my remaining forces, down the steps, and all ran at the artillery. Which let my remaining forces regroup and close in on them shooting from all sides. The AI seems very sensitive to where your artillery is or where your general is, but so much so that it doesn't think about the rest of your forces. I don't get naval battles anymore because they all stay in their ports, and if I blockade they never fight back. Hell even if I let them be they don't really come to you. The AI is *seriously* broken on the water and it always has been; CA is just rubbish at it. I would in fact be happier with a mod with some setting where the entire map is land with lakes and rivers, but with very detailed and rough topography.
  19. I like fewer provinces, so that it doesn't become a siege/micro fest. They did need to divide Spain and France into two, though. I just hit that disillusionment point. In 1768 I built up a lot of armies and planned meticulously for a three-front invasion into French/Spanish territory in Europe and the Americas. Well, I was hoping for some big battles, and I got them, but the most important ones ended up being autoresolved because they would be about 3 full stacks v. 3 full stacks. I have no problem with THEM having 3 stacks, but I hate the way your own trickle into the battlefield at the stupidest places and you need to sit there adn manage them all day. Even worse, after I took Flanders, Alsace-Lorraine, and ~3-4 American colonies from both France and Spain, I started marching towards Paris to try and get a peace agreement... when I noticed with my rakes that Spain had 5 full stacks in the middle of Spain (not even attacking Gibraltar!!!). Moronic "AI can't do amphibious" bug strikes again. The Ai probably wanted to attack my Netherlands, but couldn't get Military Access with France (WHY NOT?!?!) and... decided not to attack Gibraltar which is just below them. --;; So I won the war and now I'm getting 50k+ a turn, with 40 provinces and only needing Hindustan for the prestige victory. The early game was really fun, but when you all get multiple stacks the amphibious bug (heh, 'bug', it's really a feature spanning THREE DOODLY GAMES CA YOU ARE WORSE THAN A POO PUDDING) and the bad reinforcements system really stands out.
  20. Who knows what will happen... in the future?
  21. They will all be procedurally generated to provide a Stealth, Guns and Sex option for every instance, and then give you level-generated loot based on your class.
  22. I am told that there is a letter for me from a university in New York. We shall see.
  23. Take one for the team today, get a free truck tomorrow.
  24. I get five. Don't you worry.
  25. I got a red X. Man, that really depresses me. On the other hand, I'm at work, so it's probably for the best.
