  1. I think you're right, i might just need to get used to the ingame icons being large, but one thing that i still find annoying is the menu screen size. At 1280x1024, the text and icons are so small for the items page and the objectives page, but then the pictures of the team members on the team selection page and the light/dark alignment page are huge! I wish they were consistent with this, its an eye sore!
  2. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just to reiterate what is already there because we know someone is gonna ask without reading: Team Gizka is not doing M4-78. This is a separate group of our forum members who wanted to try it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I admire what you're trying to do, i hope you can manage this. I also hope your mod will be compatible with M4-78, that will make for a fantastic game. In reality, Obsidian and LucasArts should be doing this restoration, they owe it to us. If BioWare can add Yavin to Xbox, this should be possible. If only George Lucas knew of this travesty... Hope i havent repeated anything, but 65 pages is a mouthfull as mentioned earlier "
  3. im sure it will use next gen graphics, but i hope that they use the HUD of KOTOR 1 and keep it small, and not use the aweful one from KOTOR 2. It probably wont be announced until Xbox 360 is out, or maybe it could be a launch title for it, hmm... EDIT: I dont know if this is the right place to ask, but is there any website or forum that explains in detail why KOTOR 2 graphics are worse than KOTOR 1? im not trying to insult Obsidian, but there is a difference for the worse. Thnx for the insight sofar Plano Skywalker
  4. maybe, but from what ive herd/read, this game seems easy enough. Besides in KOTOR 1 i got to the stage where i was almost invincible, Jolee and lightning make a pefect couple it may be practical like it is now, but KOTOR 1 was much better visually Besides, I think Obsidian were the lazy ones, not BioWare. The HUD for KOTOR 2 PC & Xbox are identical, whereas KOTOR 1 PC & Xbox were different
  5. If they ever do release another patch, i hope they deal with the missing content aswell as all the bugs and inconsistencies. I admire The Restoration Project for doing it, but Obsidian and LucasArts owe it to us to finish the job. BioWare added Yavin to the Xbox thro a patch, i dont see why they cant do this now. Why do LucasArts torture us like this? If only George Lucas knew about this travesty... At least release this movies patch, i saw one movie sceen at the begining on Peragus and it was all jaggy and looked like it was ripped from the Xbox version. How do ppl play the Xbox version of this game if the rest of the gameplay look like this? EDIT: Why is there this post and a Sticky about the same thing? which should i post in?
  6. Have you tried lowering your settings to minimum to see if this improves? just in case i havent got that far in the game, but i can say that in KOTOR 1 i had a heavy lag in some parts of dantooine, the open field areas. My comp does run the game maxed out fine everywhere else, except this little place. I lowered AA and AF and the lag was gone, and i only did it for that part of the game, since i didnt go there too often. EDIT: I saw something in the BioWare Forum about this aswell, try looking there. Not sure if i can give you a link, but should be easy to find
  7. Wow, thanx for all the input, i didnt have the foggiest what was happening. Whether this is a bug or a feature, i guess i will have to live with it, shame tho , tho i might try some more. btw What or where is "Holowan Laboratories"? *QUOTE(Sarjahurmaaja. @ Sep 23 2005, 08:12 PM) "OE should have made different icons and maps for each resolution, not just use 800x600 ones for all resolutions." They did. That's what you fail to understand. Bio didn't, they were lazy.* Even if they were lazy, it made the HUD look Better! looks like being lazy can be better than working hard in some cases "
  8. Well whoever does KOTOR III, i hope they use KOTOR 1 interface, player movements and graphics, cos KOTOR II movements are rubbish, the interface is bulky not sleek like the first and for some reason i think KOTOR II graphics looks too amature/more cartooney than the first. Hopefully the Story will be tied up too I also hope that they take their time and not release it with bugs and actually finish the game. I'd rather wait 2/3 years for a fantastic game then get a mediocre one in less than a year.
  9. Here are the differences in the interface sizes at 1280x1024 between kotor1 and kotor2  I hope this explains what i meant in my earlier post. i would like to make my interface for KOTOR 2 have the same scale as it does in KOTOR 1 (especially the menu, cos at the moment its a sore for my eyes ), as the differences can be seen in the screenshots (hopefully they are attached), showing KOTOR 2s interface being too bulky ingame. Cheers
  10. Ive just got this game for the PC after finishing the first one, which was great, but i must question the interface. I played KOTOR 1 with a screen resolution of 1280x1024, and the menu screen was displaying in 800x640, so the game wasnt "stretched" whenever you entered the menu. However when you were in the game, all the icons such as the map in the top left hand corner of the screen were smaller, which was great. The problem is that in KOTOR 2, i select 1280x1024, but the game menu and the in game play are "stretched". this means that all the icons on the screen, like the map in the top left hand corner are now Large, bulky and take up half my screen! also the charecters, especially T3 M4, look bigger than in KOTOR 1! I was hoping there was a way to make the scale of the interface like KOTOR 1, but more so that you understand what im on about. The only thing stopping me from playing KOTOR 2 is this screen issue, as it is sore for my eyes . I hope to show screenshots comparing the two, if you can do that on these forums. I have an unpatched version of the game, but ive read the patch readme files and it dosnt note this issue. I tried "Set Small Text=1" or some command like that in the .ini file but the game wont even open. Any help will be smashing :D Cheers Side Note: Personally from what ive seen so far, i prefer KOTOR 1 PC Interface to KOTOR 2, as the KOTOR 2 PC interface is the same as Xbox's
