  1. It says NPC. And escape is one per encounter for us, so no CD at all. ddillon: I think that's what we all experienced and also wish for.
  2. That is a very sad development then. Considering this is a kickstarter project. What do you mean? I thought being a ks project means less money which in turns means less time for testing and quality assurance. And I thought, being a kickstarter game means having no publisher forcing a deadline, meaning having more time to test. Plus they have THOUSANDS of beta testers. As I said, I supposed that's the point in kickstarter. Getting a finished game, EXACTLY as the developers want it to be. And I at least guess, they want a bug-free game, too. I find it alarming that so many people trivialize the fact that, obviously, I have to wait "a couple of month" before a game is even playable. I won't argue here, because you won't convince people of your opinion on the internet. I can only express myself. And one thing left: the patch doesn't fix everything at all. It really seems that it was planned to release many patches before the product is finished. even adding more features in the future. I can wait too. But it's not ok to sell a game as finished, when it is OBVIOUSLY not. Time's changed and in the future, I'll think more than twice before backing, or pre-ordering a game ever again. When the vast majority is ok with buying unfinished, buggy games, I'll just wait a couple of month, til I get the product that was advertised. Like I said, sad development considering crowd funding should IMO prevent that. Im' not trying to bash the game or even Obsidian in any way. I'm just confused how I missed this development in the gaming industry. Maybe I was just blind? Dunno. Im' out now trying to modifiy my save to change my rogue so he's playable (for me).
  3. If I'm not blind, no fix in patch 1.03. So I can't play the way I want. Now it is starting over with another class or editing my save and playing... some other way. Sad.

  5. Fanboyism is strong in this thread. "if I'm not seeing this, it's not there" So if you don't experience war, it isn't there. If you don't have a disease, it doesn't exist. Logic. I got my whole inventory wiped out. Every single item of every follower. I assumed it was in any of the chest, but it was not. Luckily I stopped playing and investigated on that. In the end, only Durance's inventory was lost. But I found it to be a serious, almost game breaking bug. I don't wanna know how much more I've encountered without even noticing. Aside from the translation errors in the german version, where a good amount of weapons, weapon categories, and even letters said "Intellect +1" or "Perception +2", literally destroying the immersion. It's about obvious bugs and releasing an unfinished game. Doesn't matter if it's a car, plane, or a coffee machine. Haven't I got the right to assume I buy a working product? That's the whole point.
  6. I feel the whole point of Kickstarter and the like is kinda... absent? At least for me. I mean, isn't that the point of pre-financing a game? That the developers can take their time and bring you a COMPLETE game. Maybe I'm a bit old fahioned, but when I grew up, video games HAD to be done by the time they were released. No internet, no hot fixes, no patches. Nowadays companies are throwing games at the market that are obviously not done. So we are trying to prevent that. Put trust in the developers. I can totally understand that many people are disappointed. Yes, there are always little bugs or glitches. But they had enough time to fix them. EVERYONE who backed or pre-ordered would understand if the release date would be delayed to fix some more bugs. And some of the present ones are pretty obvious. So yeah, I can understand. And I'm a bit disappointed, too. Not offended, but disappointed. In the future, I'll think twice before pre-ordering a game and wait, to stay safe. It's just kind of sad that there seems no way to prevent people from releasing unfinished games. It feels like they just go "yea, we got our money, we'll fix that later". No offense, I love that game and I still play, regardless of bugs (that are, at least for me, quite minor). It's just awesome! But it kind of changed my point of view on such projects. Maybe I was expecting too much. I don't know. Anyways, patch will come soon and everybody will be happy
  7. As of now it is not really an escape option. btw: melee rogue seems inferior to ranged rogue. If you try to initiate combat with a melee rogue, you're as good as dead, having all the aggro. Yes, escape should be instant, that would help. A lot! Add the supposed break out of engagement and maybe extend its distance a bit. Voila: viable ability and possibility to actually start an encounter with a backstab.
  8. OK, I was aware of the engagement problem. So the rest is working as intended? As I said, I have the feeling that even before using escape I take too much damage. It's not IN the fight directly. There I can navigate etc to prevent taking damage. But I thought I could use my rogue to open the combat and then disappear. Seems that it just doesn't work this way. It's a pity. I took talents/abilities for nothing.
  9. Wow, that makes me kinda not wanting to play a monk anymore I love unarmed combat and would have no problem putting a monk in heavy armor. But with sword n board? No way! That's sad. Seems like it is really hard to implement unarmed combat in any kind of game without making it inferior to using weapons...
  10. Could you elaborate on that? What does not work? How should it work? Is it only that it doesn't break the engagement? I'm feeling i got smacked a lot even before "escaping". My main character is an assassin-like rogue and feels more like a kamikaze fighter than an actual assassin. I'm basically just cannon fodder.
  11. I witnessed that too. Every once in a while I just teleport about half the distance I should. Anyway, even if my character would teleport the right distance, it's just kinda useless. After the initial attack the rogue is cannon fodder. It takes a whole turn until he does teleport and even when he's away, he's still taking damage. My main character is more of a kamikaze fighter, than a rogue.
  12. Same here: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/72673-bug-party-members-inventory-gone-after-switching-them/
  13. Hey folks, yesterday, after getting my 6th party member I was struggling with choosing which one to dismiss. So I switched around a bit and noticed, that every time I get a character back into the party, their inventory would vanish completely. Checked the stash: nope. Checked the chests in the bedrooms in the stronghold: nope. So I googled, found nothing, asked at Steam and went to bed. As I got up, no answer. I started the game, tested it again and the inventory was still there. Luckily I had a save before switching around, but Durance's inventory seems to be gone for good.... TL;DR: Inventory vanished after switching out party members. Next day, bug was gone, but Durance's inventory is lost.
