  1. Hmm maybe you're right... Nope you're wrong. If he had said 'hey there are sith in KOTOR 2: The Sith Lords' that be the same as saying there are droids in it. He told me the main bad guys name confirming that there would be a main bad guy and confirming who it is. Great, so when I see some mysterious figure lurking in the shadows, instead of saying 'who is that' I'm goin to know exactly who and what it is. I don't even watch movie previews since I can figure out the entire movie from what they show. I can also do this with people see, I've never met you but I'm 100% sure I don't like you. Dim as a brick.

Actually, you're wrong, and since I'm such a nice guy I'll correct your mistakes.

He said that the new boss is Darth Sion. Of course, we don't know that. We know that there is a character named Darth Sion. Is he the main boss? Maybe, maybe not. Can't tell from the single line of his post. And as to knowing exactly who the mysterious figure is, there are many Sith lords in KOTOR 2. All you know is the name of one of them. Yet somehow you can deduce who that is purely from the one line title? Hah.

And you, calling me dim as a brick? Hehehe. You're reading a message board forum about a particular game and expect that it won't have discussions ABOUT the game? Thats like jumping into a pool and whining about getting wet.

Oh, and theres a female bounty hunter in Kotor 2. OH NO MORE SPOILERS! :D

  2. I suggest that Obsidian Entertainment actually make the game work with ATI cards. KOTOR has been out about 8 months now, and still everyone who owns an ATI card is screwed. You either put up with constant crashes, disable graphical features to get only almost constant crashes, or use crappy ancient drivers that make every other 3d game you own run WORSE.

Really? I run KOTOR perfectly (No bugs, no crashes, latest drivers, no graphical features disabled.) and I was the under the impression I had an ATI card.

    *Checks again*

Yep, its my trusty Radeon 9700 Pro, which has never given me a single problem in all the time I had it.

  3. Nonsense. before the war he gave a good dozen reasons why they shoiuld go to war with iraq. WMDs was *just* one reason. Couple of other examples were that Saddam was a threat, Saddam was a vicious dictator, he broke multiple UN soloutions, etc., etc. If anything, Bush gave too many reasons for war.

    Right... :)

There was 1 issue pushed before the War, to justify it, and that was the WMDs. The other reasons were added after the war started. Every statement on Iraq was "We have to go invade them now! They can launch WMDS at us in 45 minutes! They have WMDs, we know it, the weapons inspectors are just stupid!".

Then afterwards, it became about "Freedom" and "Liberation" and whatever the Bush administration could come up with.

  4. The Iraq war wasn't a failure. it accomplished its mission - to remove Saddam from power. It was always about that simple little fact. Oil, WMD, humanitarian reasons, etc., etc., were alle xtras gone for the ride.

Really? Because before the War the reason given by the President was to remove WMDs. It was only after no WMDs were found, and they realised none would be found, that they changed the theme of the war to "Liberation".

  5. I read the whole Ender's series, and enjoyed them all. The books after Ender's game were a completely different style and I liked that.

I always though Ender's Game had enough in it to be seperated into 2 books. The parts after he graduates from the Battle school seemed rushed to me.

  6. Hey all. Unfortunately, computer trouble kept me off the Internet for about a week and I'm going on a trip with with my GF this weekend, so I won't be able to come online.

Were we scheduled to start this week or next? I'll pm Ender my character details anyway.

  7. Also consider this.

You want to affect a battle with a few hundred troops from a distance. Before I even modify difficulties for proximity/distance, you have to roll a 20 on Control, 20 on Sense, and 20 on Alter.

(Since I'm so generous on skills, I use the high end of the difficulties. Difficult is listed as 16-20. I usually use 20).

You'll likely need 7D in Control, 7D in Sense, and 7D in Alter. Force Powers raise slowly. That's a fairly powerful Jedi. And very few people know the power.

Oh, so for Control and Sense powers, you roll for control then roll for sense and have to succeed at both?

  8. God! People act like WWII never happened. America got blasted for turning a blind eye to the world. When we do step in, we get blasted for it.

Its a different situation. The US was blasted because they didn't step in to help their friends who were being invaded until they themselves were attacked.

Here, no-one was being invaded, and the UN didn't want to, but the US went in anyway.

  9. He said our justification was two-fold. First, the UN already passed a resolution saying Iraq had to comply immediately or else. And the UN did pass a resolution authorizing military action in the past. Military action was ceased on the basis that Iraq complied. Failure to comply negated the ceasement of military action.

The UN said don't go in. But Bush defied them, to enforce THEIR resolutions? Wheres the sense in that?

  10. If I find a dead body with a bullet hole, am I to believe that a murder weapon exists even if I don't find it?

Well, we found training labs, and containers for WMD. Surely, the WMD never existed.

Stuff was found which could have been used to develop weapons, but also had legitimate applications or non-restricted applications (Warheads were found and people jumped up saying WMD, but they were a short range type that he was allowed to have).

A better analogy would be, you find an empty milk bottle and immediately say its evidence that it contained poision. It may have, but it may have contained milk as well.

  11. Hrmm. Bush made up the WMD? Yeah. The same WMD that the Democrats were harping about during Clinton's reign. Bush retroactively made them up.

Thats not really an argument Ender. Just because democrats or republicans said they existed, doesn't mean they do.

Bush pushed the WMD issue forward, and used it to justify a war, all the while having no evidence other than his own statements.

  12. what is the point of all this?

There is no point except for wasting time. :D

    I rest my case.

Say, you were playing tennis but the person you were meant to play with is running late? You pull out your racquet and ball and start bouncing it against a wall.

Thats like arguing with Hades_One. He, and the wall, are too thick for the ideas/balls to go through, but you do it anyway because its fun for a while and kills time.
