I think an official solution needs more time, and I´m not sure who´s responsible for the "original" translation. The person(s) should speak German as native language, because without knowledge how to translate correctly regarding the dialogues and situations ingame is surely sometimes complicated. So I would be fine with a community translation fix only, and cannot thank enough for that! -
Vielen Dank für eure Bemühungen, das Spiel verdient eine saubere deutsche Übersetzung! Ich werde versuchen Feedback zu liefern wenn mir etwas auffällt, wobei ich im Moment wegen der generell noch vorliegenden Fehler erstmal den nächsten Patch abzuwarten möchte, bevor ich weiter spiele.

I have the same opinion, the map is too dark, it´s hard to see which areas are already explored, because the explored areas are only a tiny little bit brighter... Hope this will be fixed with a patch (and other things too, like the German translation, the double-click bug in the inventory and other things). The game seems to be great, but I´ve stopped playing after a short time because of the existing flaws.

But I have to say that the explored areas only a little bit brighter than the unexplored areas, and it´s real worde at night, even with the maximum ingame brightness. So I hope too, that the explored areas will be brighter in the future (a point in the next patch to solve this maybe).

The German translation has flaws, too... So I hope the French and German translation flaws will be fixed soon. As far as I can see the texts can be edited by opening the files, but I hope there will be an official response regarding the translation improvement, before the community maybe fix it.

As far as I can see it is possible to edit the files that can be found in Steam\SteamApps\common\Pillars of Eternity\PillarsOfEternity_Data\data\localized Maybe it´s a solution, when there will be no official localization improvements, but it surely will be a lot of work to search and edit the texts.
