  1. Is the God like bonus worth the tradeoff of not having a helmet? Haven't played game yet, just wondering.
  2. After looking around a little more, I might go with a moon godlike. That way each time I get below certain levels, I and my surrounding teammates are hit with healing. Wood elf does seem like the next best thing. I know that Godlike can't wear helmets, just depends on how good helmets are in the game and what bonuses they impart, vs. how much healing the moon godlike gives off.
  3. She has fairly good resolve and perception, with an above average constitution to booth so she can be used as a decent tank. She's probably one of the "least worse" Too bad about Grieving Mother having both low might and intellect, I'm still going to use her though! I will still use her, just cause she looks cool and I like Paladins. I am going to play as a Cipher, so I don't have to worry about GM!
  4. Uggh... was really wanting to use Pellagrina, but her MGT and INT are so bad. Eder is not TOO bad IMO. Aloth...wow, as the only mage was hoping for more MGT and INT to be a nuker.
  5. I think she is supposed to tell you that the weapon you are using is not he best for the situation, that the last spell you used wasn't correctly placed, and how you must be blind for running into that trap!
  6. Stiletto's do seem a great choice for duel wielding because of bypassing damage reduction, especially with a higher DEX character. Flails look interesting because of ability to convert grazes into hits. Should I stick to fast weapons only for a duel wield character? OR could I use a larger one handed too? Best skills to me seem soul shock and eye strike, with whisper of treason coming in third. Thanks for the advice and opinions! Can't wait to really dig into this game!
  7. OP, I'm going exactly like you. I want a duel wield Cihper, and my stats are about the same as yours. I would like to have a gun to switch to in case I get low health . I think medium armor will be the way to go, unless something special in the cloth department comes along. With low CON and cloth armor, I'm too afraid of getting wiped out with a couple good shots. I'm trying to figure out what race to play as, although with the ability to reapply attributes, it doesn't seem that big a deal, except for the 18 cap. Aumaua would be nice for possibility of 20 MGT, but human also isn't too bad. I think I am going to use my PC as the trap/lockpicker too since I will lack a rogue party member, so I will need to bump stealth and mechanics. I also like laborer to get mechanics up to 2 and give me some fatigue resistance.
  8. I'm thinking of going Cipher myself, but with duel wield. I would like to have a ranged weapon, usually i roll with bows, but they seem woefully underpowered compared to guns. I know they are faster, but if they are 4 times weaker per hit, they would need to be 4 times faster to make up the difference. I'm sure someone will do all the math eventually, but right now, looks like guns are the way to go over bows.
  9. Yeah, I will be squishy. should I maybe start with a blunderbuss or crossbow and a spell or two and then wade in once my fighter and paladin have engaged? Thanks for the help.
  10. It seemed from the boards that DEX was not very useful in most situations due to short fight length. Does that make duel wielding pointless in a way? Cipher sounds fun, but if I am using skills/spells, would i have tiome to hack and slash?
  11. Just got home and have the game loaded up ( man have I missed BG type games!!). I love playing as duel wield characters, but with PoE throwing some standard DandD stuff to the wind, I was looking for some help. Should I just go with a fighter, or can any class duel wield? What classes would take advantage of a duel wield setup? Seems like I need high might and INT. whatever class I am, but other than that I'm not sure. Thanks for the help and opinions!
