Michael Avenatti the White Knight and Protector of women has been arrested on domestic violence charges.

Believe all women. We believe survivors.

Will the same rules apply as for judge Kavanaugh?

Would be good for Avenatti if the same rules applied, as that would mean he has a fancy new job waiting for him after a half-assed investigation.

So. You support him in the presidential race? You want women beater in WH? Great standards you have.

Not sure how you got that from my post. I don't support or care about Avenatti.

  3. WC3 is my favorite game ever. Late nights with Dota, tower defense, 4v4 arranged team games, toying with the world editor, clan wars...so many good memories.

I really hope they'll manage to preserve the gameplay in a good way. Played the Rexxar campaign the other day, it's incredible how smooth the gameplay is. Unit boxing, camera movement...everything is so ridiculously polished.

  4. http://time.com/5425477/nyc-no-shootings-weekend-nypd/

New York City goes an entire weekend without any shootings.

"“A city of 8.6 million people, not a single shooting for three days,” he (Bill de Blasio) said. He called it an “extraordinary” achievement and credited the NYPD for the streak."

It's a bit amusing what qualifies as news in various places of the world. In my country it's all over the news if a shooting takes place. In NYC it's news if it doesn't happen for a couple of days. I get that NYC is densely populated, but still!

It matches what she's been saying earlier on. The current Chief of the Cherokee Nation, Bill John Baker is only 1/32nd Native as well. She never said she was fullblooded Indian. You are the troll.

What do you mean also 1/32? She is between 1/64 and 1/1024. Math.

You're right, the initial news report said 1/32 so I just referred to that. They later changed it.

And for the record, I don't think Warren is Indian. I mean there's a chance I'm related to Djenghis Khan if you look back long enough, that doesn't make me Mongolian. Wasn't her story just that she had native american heritage? She's technically right. If however she claimed to be Indian, she'd be wrong.

But then again, many Americans are a bit weird with how they identify with the nationalities of their ancestors.

  6. IIRC Warren put that she was native American on a job or grant application when(forget which)  she was in her 20's. People lie (or embellish) on those things for preferential treatment. Fast forward 40 years later and she's running for Senate and  that application gets dug up. So she is presented with two options:

    1. Come clean and admit she lied 40+ years earlier
    2. Stick with the lie, no matter how preposterous it is.

    She opted for door #2

    Source on that?

    https://t.co/LTQ6d1sMwM

""In the most exhaustive review undertaken of Elizabeth Warren’s professional history, the Globe found clear evidence, in documents and interviews, that her claim to Native American ethnicity was never considered by the Harvard Law faculty, which voted resoundingly to hire her, or by those who hired her to four prior positions at other law schools. At every step of her remarkable rise in the legal profession, the people responsible for hiring her saw her as a white woman."

So she is Pocahontas after all? Or maybe "leftist" DNA tests doesn't count?

I'll never understand why people dislike Elizabeth Warren so much. I can understand not agreeing with her politically, but she seems far more ready to fight corruption than most politicians.

LOL. 6-10 generations. In that case I'm native Egiptian. What a joke. Are you trolling Thingolfin or aee you really so indoctrinated.

  9. He's obviously not telling people to literally go kick republicans. It's the same with Hillary Clinton's statement. I don't like Hillary Clinton, I think she's awful, but she obviously did not intend to incite violence. Come on.

Their point is that Democrats should go on the offensive, point out Republican bull**** instead of just sitting by meekly. I know Beto O'Rourke for example is getting criticised a lot for being too polite to Ted Cruz - when he could be a lot tougher on him and his past.

  10. Sharp_one: The site may be biased, but if you actually read the article it makes sense. It's well documented with videos that show that this was done by the alt-right/nazi group The Proud Boys, not Antifa. One of the videos clearly show a guy bragging about beating up a foreigner. Does that sound like a nazi, or an anti-fascist to you?

Read up a bit on the Proud Boys. Their initiation rite is pretty funny:

The Proud Boys have a four-degree initiation process for new members. In the first degree, a recruit must declare "I am a Western chauvinist who refuses to apologize for creating the modern world."The second degree involves five or more Proud Boys punching the recruit until he names five breakfast cereals. To earn the third degree, the recruit must get a Proud Boy tattoo. The Proud Boys' website says that the fourth degree is reserved for those who have "endured a major conflict related to the cause." The Southern Poverty Law Center has said this requires the recruit to get into a physical fight with an Antifa activist at a public rally.

  11. It's pretty naive and weird to say that it's only coming from one side. Have you forgotten about Charlottesville already?

Also, on using Fox news as a source: https://www.newsweek.com/violent-far-right-group-fox-news-victims-1168454

    ^ sums it up nicely.

  12. Is it just me or does the Yennefer actor look rather young? I always thought Yennefer had some sort of semi-milf-y touch.

Based on the books, she's supposed to have a young look. She's old, but uses magic to make herself appear young.

  13. So Ford is unable to live at home for a while now because of numerous death treaths. I'm sure a lot of the other people who were courageous enough to speak up have similar issues at the moment. (https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/410340-christine-blasey-ford-still-unable-to-live-at-home-due-to-death-threats)

Or as the Sharp_one would put it, getting the attention they sought.
