It's not supposed to be scary. It's an RE4 clone, with slightly better gameplay and monster design. It has a better story. Now, I know that's not saying much, but DS' story was actually entertaining for me. Don't expect anything brilliant but it was much more interesting than "The President's daughter has been kidnapped by zombies. Are you man enough to save her?".

Well the tentacle rape sequences were pretty startling.

But they added a third person shooter to it... And its just not the same without shotgun-wielding planes, zeppelins, zeppelins that eat other zeppelins and giant fire-breathing steampunk robot worms with rocket turrets on their back.

I always end up making someone who looks ugly under a very specific angle and lighting. So the less customisation for me, the better.

Used guns store... doesn't sound like a half bad idea. I guess you could sell weapons to a black market dealer, but definitely not a high-tech handler.

Not the best example, considering Deus Ex isn't nearly as advanced in terms of graphics as recent games.

Nah, the player's just firing in controlled bursts. Most shooters have you do that to keep accuracy.

What, no hubs set in an English speaking Western country? Oh great. Heck, do it in New Zealand or Canada for all I care, but at least one would be nice. I vote for Canada. Not enough games take place there.

Remember KotOR 1 and 2 basically only had 4 planets/hubs that you could explore at will. I'm guessing there are some other settings that are more linear, in the beginning of the game. I can't really confirm it, though.
