  1. I miss Judge Hades, he was much more logical and nicer. :'(
  2. I hijack this to show an italian police car:
  3. I say premade charates allow the developers to focus more on the storyline, and the actions those characters would take in some events. You can get a lot more into the character, and feel the way he feels if the character is already evolved and ready to go into action. You have a fully done character also in adventure games, I guess you don't play any of them. If not, you're missing out something great.
  4. Thats called flexibility, but it is still premade.
  5. Precreated characters are usual in RPG-s and adventure games ( I always say these two are the sides of the same coin), just like in PS:T
  6. Well, you had the possibility to click on what your char says in all of these games, and that was always precreated by the developers, in this game its a short description of what he will do/say, but its still the developers made the decision HOW he does that! :D
  7. I guess one-two more years and you would have gone bankrupt: -you get inflation from taking loans -you get interest rates when taking loans, a lot of of time+money to repay it all -it requests you to pay it back, if you don't do it in 3 years you get an auto bancrupcy -this all causes revolt risk, conquered nations/provinces can become independent real quick -mercenaries are needing a higher payment, and they don't get fresh recruits as your own troops, and an army only half its original manpower asks for the same payment as a full one -with wars, annexations, and other actions you get BB ('badboy', it simulates how awful you are in the eyes of the world, if you do too much at once then the world gang bangs you -an offensive style makes other nations less agrre on diplomatic deals and trade too One good think is in EU3 the new claim system for provinces: in 25 years you lose a core (claim) what you don't have in 50 years you gain a core (claim) what you didn't have before Claims (cores) represent the 'main body' of your empire, what is a part of it with history, culture, and things like rights by heritage. Example: Ottomans lose Constantinople to crusading Knights of St. John (unlikely but possible), if they can't get it back till 25 years later they lose their core on it and they get a new permanent Capitol somewhere else. After 25 more years (25+25) Constantinople and its citizens accept and acknowledge the 'right to rule' of the 'Maltese Knights' (in this timeframe Knights of Rhodos) Well, I dunno if its possible to move the capitol in an other way, but if not I guess the knights could get their capitol in Constantinople (instead of Rhodos) eventually by losing Rhodos to someone else.
  8. Well, its about roleplay, and you don't create a char from scratch, you get a fully evolved human mind. You still have more options to chose from, and he (main char) does them in his own way. (damn i like his bully 'commando speech')
  9. I guess I don't have to ask if you played as Denmark or not.
  10. Stop being an ass. Since the graphics are the only thing we can definitively comment on, Karka's contribution and opinion is valid and constructive. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I am sure this will be better than Darkstar One, ergo: Darkstar 2 has to have atleast the quality of ME. Race is so good for game developement
  11. exactly, no critics while it isn't out yet
  12. a bad clone of Freelancer, but still better than nothing, or to play a linear story game again (ergo install and play Freelancer again while you already know what, when happens)
  13. After trying the EU3 demo, I had an urge to start a Merchant Prince 2 game, and I also enjoy it much more than the EU3 demo. I also play in between Darkstar One, and Runaway 2: Dream of the Turtle
  14. weird that i have a video card what runs a lot of games well (including NWN2) but i lag even in SP in EU3
  15. Yes, and Baldur's Gate didn't have a mod scene because I never played one, too. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> don't hurt Darth Gabrielle too much! (because she enjoys that )
  16. you look like that?
  17. because to attract new players....personally i also find it butt ugly <_< anyway: i know how to play any nation in the demo with a small modification, if anyone is interested in that PM me.
  18. pixel shader 2.0 and 128 video memory...
  19. Dang, I'm only get 7-8 times faster. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> http://www.gamershell.com/download_17351.shtml mine was 13-14 times
  20. GAMERSHELL, dl it form there!!! its atleast 10-times (!!!) faster!
  21. nice, i like the TIE fighter movie
  22. The Demo is now downloadable. Enjoy
  23. no open war is possible against something what doesn't have borders, thats like attacking flu
  24. At the date you chose to start you game all nations have historical monarchs , and advisors. But as game goes on the kids of the historical ones arent the historical ones we know, because they were at their own time also only a random chance to born. Thus: if you start as Firenze at the correct date you have Leo as a possible advisor, but if you play since 200 years as France then its possible that your ruler will be named Louise XX and you have a diplomatic advisor named Richard Bonaparte.
