Well with relativism, your opinion is right. With relativism Mothman is right. But the guy next to you doesn't have to agree to be right though.

Bustelo - By Ratatat (intrumental) Just discovered them, very original indie music.

You mean like religion? Thats not actually fair what I said, because religion has done good things as well as bad, but you fail to realize that the human race is the most intellegent on the face of the earth. Until Aliens come (if they aren't already here). And you say that as though you know of something more intellegent than humanity. Currently, the most intellegent beings I know of are humans. Relative concept. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Fear and laziness is humanities biggest hurdles. Once we find ways to jump them... Then again, maybe its too late, more proof to live for the now.

This gets tricky. maybe we cannot, or maybe should not stereotype people with their religion. Was Mothman part of the Inqusition? no. Would we have been able to tell? no. Christians come in all different beliefs. Each one has a unique personal view on God, just like other theistic religions Many people cause terrible acts all over the planet everyday. we cannot blame religion for the majority of them. I believe we have to blame the individual, for their choice, not the religion.

I was raised Lutheran so i had a reformed view on what is Christianity. I thought that much of it could be taken fugeratively. Thus the snake was actaully just a flaw we had. Later in my contemplating this as an atheist i realized that we are not fundementally flawed. We are what we are. What you may call imperfect I may call beauty, what i may call imperfect you may call blasphme. Its all just a matter of opinion to me.
-
Mothman, things aren't always what they seem. I'm simply stating that, and leaving it at that. I may not be a christian but we can still be friends though. right? :D Besides, a good person, is a good person.

I still regress. God asks for simple faith, not perfection to enter the garden. Yet he exiled Adam and Eve not due to faith but due to imperfection. Subjective, its all in the perspective i guess. Anyway, i dont remember in those 7 days God created satan. Satan is just the flaw. satan is fugurative for the flaw. I don't think its meant to be personalized in to being an actaul being. This is also a perspective though too.

Hi Baley, I thought you were taking sides with satan/lucifer. So i just thought I would give a quick spin on satanism. Just trying to be informative
-
Right. I thought God just asks for Faith, not perfection.
-
Who is satan, your adversary or Gods? Satan is Gods adversary, not yours. In satanism, satan tries to release you from Gods hand governeing you. He tries to set you free to do as you want without Gods rules. Its really not as crazy as people think.

This beckons my previous statement about good and evil. You mentioned motivations. Adam being ignorant had no evil motivations since he did not know evil. yet still, still punished. and we are still being punished for the sins of our fathers. That is, in the Christian worldview.

Well the word on the street is $250 - $300 there will be more then one version of this card. It will come out late november or early december. Havox Physics software firm recenmly talked to gamespot and said that Agiea's hardware card is not necessary, that the CPU and graphic card can handle the physics. Agiea later answered this and said why do we keep creating better graphic cards and CPU's if we don't need to fully use them? of course we use all the processes during games. Agiea had a demo showing 6000 boulders doing down a hill using graphic card and CPU only. it was 20 FPS Agiea used its physX canrd with the graphic and CPU and it ran at 40 FPS Radeon is now currently in the works in creating an extra chip on their graphic cards to help process the physics engine, but ageia says that theres wont have all the bells and whistles bundled on top of their graphic card that the PhysX will. It still intrests me. The price is crippling although. This seems to be for the fanatic in my opinion. The BIG question is - Who is goig to be supporting this? Unreal 2007 engine is the only bigshot i see so far.

From this perspective i don't see how it is ever possible to get back in the garden. We were created imperfect, and If god sent us out of the garden because we were imperfect, then why would he aloow us back in after still being imperfect?
-
This is true Mothman. Although the first instance God judges man with the eating of the fruit, I, and many others find injust. God said "Do not eat the fruit inthe garden". This is easy to understand if you have a concept oif good and evil, but Adam and Eve were ignorant, innocent to good and evil. They simply did not know what was good and what was evil. They were to stupid. This is why literal Utopias are impossible. You have to have a concept of evil to prevent ourself from doing evil. God never taught them it. So God condemned man from then on over this imperfect act of ignorance(not knowing). This is another problem of Evil people contemplate.

Thats one view of sin/evil. I tend to look at it most of the time as just the result of change and uncomfort. I as a atheist see good and evil not in black and white but all shades. Its not that easy to put Good and evil in polarities in my opinion, most of the time its hard to tell which it is, the line begins to blur right? People have justifications that might be acceptable. I don't like a theif but when one is hungry, one must steal. I think the concept of good and evil is alot of the time absurd, meaningless and most of the time relative. There are many complications with absolutism and evil that many can not find to be logical, for example, you can create a finite amout of bad deeds on earth but spend an inifinte in hell? Thats bad math, many might say. Jesus is God, remember the trinity and the 3 forms of god. father, son and the holy spirit. Thus Jesus is God. Judaism recalls that the prophet must not be god, because God cannot be in imperfect human form with divine powers, only god has divine powers and can only be in perfect form.

I agree, beauty is more attractive then what i consider the truth many a times. I choose beauty over truth much of the time. Love might just be a drug called serotonin, do i want to think of that next time im falling in it? No, I like to just feel the raw emotions. Its a great feeling, great drug. Gotta love it!
-
But Jesus is God. Thus Jesus sacficed himself to himself for the people that he created imperfect, that will inevitally be imperfect. Got Logic?

But you would from someone else? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, but she must be hot.

Wouldn't want a round house kick to the face by someone wearing that!

Don't you love to be told what you are?! (w00t)

You can't eat it, it doesn't protect you from cold, it can't take you to places (no, hell & heaven don't count), and for the majority, it's not enough to be happy. Mostly worthless. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ok. What is the point of religion, then? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Religion can save one from possible self destruction. What happens when someone loses the will to live? they may die. Religion is just another grip on reality, just like philosophy, statistics, and careers. It may also be worth alot to politicians.

The thought of a man named Jesus existing sounds probable then. I won't bet my life with it though. Thats where i differ from christians. Good night

I am not an expert on the historical sources. In my ignorance, I am willing to doubt their existence. Are you willing to doubt the existence of Jesus? If not then you only prove yourself to be the a dogmatist. How 'bout written accounting and tax records? Official government documents? Prose of the classics? Bones in a mausoleum? Dried blood and rusted weapons? Birth documents? Parental lineage? I could go on, but you get the point. We have hundreds of historical documents that corroborate the existence of Caesar, Alexander, Khan, Confucious, you name it. Yet there is only one source of reference to the life of Jesus. That is where you're going with this, right? Wiki Shroud of Turinradiocarbon tests in 1988 that yielded a medieval timeframe for the cloth's fabrication; and analysis of the image mode by microscopist Walter McCrone, who concluded ordinary pigments were used. As for the Arrest warrant, I looked onine and couldn't find anything. Do you have a link?
