  1. 1. 3.07 patch

    2. Mac/Linux

    3. WM installed

    4. Loading a save old than the 3.07 patch

    5. No PX4 (Deadfire DLC) installed

    5. With PX4 installed.

Looks like my step 5 was incorrect. I've reproduced this on our end. I have a few more things to try before I can get a bug in. I'll keep everyone posted.

Thanks for all the support on this one,

    - SKing

[EDIT] Can someone effected by the issue, send me an output log and a save file?

  2. Hey everyone,

Sorry about all this mess. I am going to get to the bottom of this today, and I'll update you all later when a patch can be released. One quick question first.

    There is a patch for 3.07 that is separate from our PX4 DLC. You have to opt into the DLC, by manually grabbing it. Everyone who has the issue, do you have the Deadfire DLC downloaded? From all your posts, my initial guess is that players will experience this bug if they do these things;

    1. 3.07 patch

    2. Mac/Linux

    3. WM installed

    4. Loading a save old than the 3.07 patch

    5. No PX4 (Deadfire DLC) installed

If someone has this issue that doesn't match up with these five things, let me know. It will really speed up the process

    Our bad :(

  3. Hey Hariwulf,

Most of these issues are known and we are currently looking at fixes for a future BB update. I would love a little more info on a few of them though (Listed below).

    - Enemies are un-targetable

Can you be more specific on this one?

    - Combat won't end even if there are no enemies

This is most likely because of the Merc Fighter's Mule Kick ability. If you Knock Down/Up certain creatures they will be put into a bad state, and combat will not end.

    - Wounds won't heal, or heal after 6 rests

Having trouble reproducing this one. Can you link me your save file?

    - UI flickering

    This is a Save/Load issue.

    - Party health becomes invisible on portrait

    This is a Save/Load issue.

    - Characters run back and forward in combat

Not sure what you mean on this one... Where your characters blocked from reaching a target but kept trying to get there? If you could expand on this one as well?

    I got your back

  4. Hey OrangePulp,

We nailed this down to an animation issue on some of our creatures (Blights, Spores, etc..) It happens if you 'knock down or knock up' the enemies, they will get in a bad state and combat will fail to end. This is most likely caused by the Merc Fighter's 'Mule Kick.' We should get a fix for this one in a future BB update. until then, if you avoid using 'knock down/up' moves against those types of enemies you'll be fine.

  5. Hey (you bunch of forgiving gamers)

We currently have no plans on releasing the Backer Beta outside of PC Windows (Steam, and GoG). The final release of PoE 2 will be supported on PC Windows, Linux, and Mac.

Sorry to all Mac & Linux users

    - SKing

[EDIT] If you backed expecting there to be, we apologize this wasn't more clear. You can definitely hit up (Obsidian Support) and you can receive a refund in regards to this.

  6. Hey Billy,

Haha, I knew we'd get flagged for this one. We have this issue in our database and yes we have learned from PoE 1. We will definitely be looking into this before release and maybe for future BB updates.

    I got your back

  7. Welcome (you bunch of magnificent) gamers,

The Backer Beta is now live! On behalf of everyone here at Obsidian, I want to thank all of you for supporting our project on Fig or through our website. I also want to thank all of you for providing us feedback and helping us clean up the rough edges on this game we have been tirelessly working on. Thank you, truly.

The Backer Beta begins with Character Creation. Character Creation in the Backer Beta is unrestricted, allowing access to all races/classes/etc... You then will spawn into the Huana village of Tikawara with a party of level 6 Mercenaries (Fighter, Rogue, Priest, and Wizard.) From here you are free to explore the village or immediately embark on your ship and wander the seas. A quick warning that many of our ships systems are still under construction and are not in the first release of the Backer Beta.

Below are instructions to access the Backer Beta (Steam or GOG), content list, big system changes, features not in the backer beta, and links for what to do in the likely event of a bug. 8. Known Major Issues

Below is a list of issues we know about that currently affect the Backer Beta. WATCH OUT!

    General Issues

    • Mild to severe drop in frame rate on first load. We are still in the process of optimising our game.
    • Some machines may crash on a black screen on first 'New Game' (This will correct itself on the second attempt)
    • Some machines may crash when quitting to the Main Menu from within the game
    • A few different creatures (Imp, Beetle, etc..) are missing audio
    • Some NPCs will have abilities that activate after each transition
    • Party will spawn halfway below the ground after destroying the Adra Pillar in Poko Kohara (You will still be able to transition, which will correct the issue)

    Class Specific

    • Chanter phrase count is not updating after Save/Load
    • Chanter will not have audio for their abilities (Chants or invocations)
    • Multiclass Barbarian/Priest (Shaman) lose passives (Select either the Eothas subclass or none on your Priest half and you will avoid this issue)
    • Ranger 'Ghostheart' summoned spirit companions will sometimes blend into the background
    • Wizard/Druid/Priest 'aggressive' AI preset will mainly auto attack (I highly suggest changing to the other presets)
    • Mercenary Wizard is currently listed as a dwarf and gains 'Hale and Hardy' but visually is a Human

    UI

    • Some menus are cut off in certain resolutions
    • The Game doesn't boot in native resolution after installation
    • All tooltips regarding Action Speed, Recovery Time, and Reload Time are incorrect (Don't trust them)
    • HUD elements may flicker/phase out of existence after a save/load cycle

    Save/Load

    • Adra Pillar in Poko Kohara disappears after Save/Load
    • Player character portrait doesn't fill red to show damage after Save/Load (You can still see the numerical health values)
    • Loading Error that kicks to the Main Menu transitioning after Save/Load (You can avoid this by quitting completely out of the title and rebooting)

[Edit] Major Issues Found After BB Release

    • Animation controller issue with Blights and Spores. If you Knock Down/Up either of these enemies they will be put into a bad state and combat will not end.
    • Kith (humanoid) enemies will sometimes attack themselves
