  1. Brejik and Bendak are a pain if your DEX is lower than 16. I messed around manipulating my DEX to see what would happen. The higher your DEX you can almost just stand in one spot and blaster shots won’t even touch you. Then I turned around and lowered the DEX and if you just stood there you were nailed with blaster shots each and every time. The hardest KoTORI battle for me was Malak when I played as a Counselor. I beat him the first time up, but it was grueling. Tsel
  2. It's sad; because, I really liked reading the book of EP I. The movie was a horrendous butchering. I voted TESB Tsel
  3. I totally understand how you feel Archmonarch. I went to religious private schools my whole life as a child and I got tired of having religion shoved down my throat as well, but that is the point. The point being it wasn’t religion that was ticking me off so much. It was people trying to take my freewill away from me and force their views down my throat. I have found that I can believe in G_D and Science and they can complement each other as well, but that is for the individual to find and figure out. Belief in G_D does not come in one single pretty package. A person standing behind G_D will see a totally different view than a person standing on the right of G_D, but even though they see things differently they are still looking at G_D. I believe in creation and I believe in evolution. One does not need to choose either one or the other. They can choose to believe both or reject both. That is freewill. I still claim a certain faith; my personal views are a bit broader now. Hence, my faith considers me sort of a heretic, but I could care less; because, their judgment of me means nothing. I believe what I believe and freewill is mine. Tsel
  4. I live in L.A. County here in California and trust me, never believe those salary charts. Those charts show that the average pay for me is 78K a year. It is total bunk. The real average pay in my field at my level in Southern California is 43K a year. But, like others have said, if you are unhappy with your job for any reason at all, look for another; believe me nothing bites the big one worse than working at a job you dread to go to. Good Luck Tsel

  6. I like playing Hack-n-Slash games from time to time. H-n-K is more like a game of tactics. The tactics you choose decide whether your battle is an easy one, or a very difficult one, or you simply get your a** handed to you in a hand basket. ( TOSTED!) :D Tsel
  7. No weirder than drinking a quality cabernet with crushed ice. (w00t) Tsel

  10. I saw them do that song on T.V. I must concede the bands of the late 90's and up to today are doing real good remakes of older songs. Tsel
  11. (chuckle) You feel old! :D Shoot..."The Turtles" were still together and still playing on the radio in my youth. " Tsel

  14. I believe there is more going on here than what is being presented to the public eye. Of course I am totally guessing, but I believe the Australian Government is trying to crack down on those who are faking disabilities and collecting money. Basically people like that are flakes and they expect something for nothing and they contribute absolutely nothing to society. They are merely lazy bast*ards / leeches getting fat off of other peoples hard work. I’ve know quite a few disabled people and they work 10 times harder than someone non-disabled. I personally believe the news person who presented that view is nothing more than a bleeding heart / cry sack, who has manipulated their position to present a false view. I’m not coming down on you Bastilla_Skywalker, but I seriously doubt the Australian Government would ever pass such a one sided bias law. That news caster has seriously misrepresented their position. Take Care Tsel

  17. Keldorn's final speech was the one that really put a lump in my throat. I also felt for the guy and all of the B.S. that was thrown at him. Tsel
  18. I can understand your frustration. I was extremely frustrated with Divine Divinity when I first played it, mainly due to its control system, the lack of a real players manual, and finally the fact that you really had no room to breathe to rest from all of the creature attacks. But thanks to a lot of wonderful people / players at the Larian forum they helped me out a lot so I could know the mechanics of the game and then it made it a lot of fun. Now I’ll get back on topic about Gothic II. Earlier you said you couldn’t damage targeted creatures with your ranged attacks. Well, I’m currently playing Gothic One and I’ve noticed that it doesn’t matter how much STR or DEX I have if I have a low damage rate weapon vs. the creature I’m attacking. For example, my character currently in Gothic One, has a 25 STR and a 30 DEX, when I use a regular 13 Damage Weathered Axe on a simple Mole Rat I kill it in two whacks, but that same Axe does Zero damage, no matter how many times I hit it on a Lurker; however, when I pull out my Bone Bow that is slated at 38 damage I can kill the Lurker in about 3 to 6 shots of my bow, if all of those shots are hits and not misses. But if I was to use that same Bone Bow on a Swamp Shark, it does Zero damage no matter how many times I hit it; because, I need an even better weapon to damage it. Like D&D / AD&D some creatures are immune to certain weapons. Some can only be hit by say +3 or better weapons. I believe both Gothic One and Gothic II work on a similar principal. I believe that is the reason why your ranged attacks were not working in all cases. The same holds true for melee weapons too. I know you’re frustrated, I feel the same way as you when I play certain games myself. In fact I felt the same way with Gothic One the first two times I tried to play it, mainly I was frustrated with the game controls. The setup is not user friendly at all, but on my third attempt at playing Gothic One and talking a lot to a good German friend of mine who’s a Gothic Guru, I’m finally having some fun playing the game. The controls still bite the big one, but it is finally fun none the less. Hang in there; you can do it, if you decide to play either game again. Tsel
  19. Of course it is totally rumor and I have no facts to support the rumor, but I heard that if BG3 did happen...it might be Vivendi Universal doing it. Tsel
  20. icelus, Are you speaking just the official BGII-SoA & ToB expansion only or are you all creating Fix Packs for other larger mods included as well? Like Shadows Over Soubar and The Darkest Day and so on etc… Tsel
  21. I too loved IWD/ HOW/ TotLM. Remembering the first time I played TotLM I was so glad I built up my characters the way I did. Holy Teleportations Batman! Tsel
  22. Have you tried climbing up a tree and then shoot them from the tree? Not all, but many of the creatures can not climb trees. Tsel
