  1. I'm not going to dwell on whether or not offensive attacks belong with the LS, it's always going to be up for debate. What I find ridiculous is this force "channeling" idea. It reeks of DBZ fanboy-ism, which doesn't belong in the Star Wars theme. Say it how you like, white beam light, white energy, whatever. You will probably kick yourself in the ass if you come back in a few years time, when you're older, and read this thread again.
  2. Good god, Force Channeling? A white beam Kamehameha but not exactly? I really recommend those of you who actually think this is a good idea to take a step back and reassociate yourselves with the theme of Star Wars and not some pathetic excuse for an anime. More importantly, find a more decent quality anime to watch,
  3. Read over me and that other gentleman's post, friend. None of has said that LucasArts is the developer, try to pay more attention to what people are writing in the posts. This is a question of quality contents. Bugs can be fixed, but cut contents will almost never make it back since no one wants to pay the developers for the work needed to finish it. I definitely agree with OrganizedChaos and uncdeez, this is starting to feel more and more like an attempt to cash in on the Holiday seasons. It's going to be hard for lil' Timmy out there to decide whether or not to choose one game out of all the other bunch of great titles coming out in winter.
  4. That's also true, but if you remember the games from LucasArts in the past. Take, X-Wing Alliance for example. The family storyline plot was never done, we never find out what eventually happens to Anton. Just because the team has "completed" the game and shipped it off the LucasArts, it doesn't mean that they hadn't decided to cut some aspects of the game out in order to make sure that they meet the schedule to send the product out to LucasArts for the sound to be added in time for the deadline. Just as I recall in the first KOTOR, the missing lightsaber crystal that you're supposed to have gotten if you beaten a particular person in pazaak 10 times in a row. What does this mean? It doesn't matter if they've said, you said, and OTHER people said over and over again that the dev's are putting their product to Lucasarts at the same date. It could very well be half-truths, and we could only know for sure when we are playing the games ourselves, so personally I'm hoping for the best but am expecting the worst with the announcement of a shorter release date.
  5. I'm not sure if we should really celebrate this news, since it just might mean that KOTOR2 might end up a rushed job despite the fact that it already has a pre-exisiting game engine and all. Finer details, incomplete subplots, and other nooks and crannies might be left out in favor of a sooner release date. I don't know about you guys, but I prefer a meaty game that's satisfying, rather than a bare bone side dish of a game.
  6. Ouch, it's 1:51 AM EST here right now and still no one has put in a vote for Carth. Heh heh, somehow the devoted Carth horde has unwittingly allow this thread to slip by unnoticed. There can only be one true victor here, and Jolee is the man to pick up that title! :D
  7. Like being able to punch a guy across the room with just a light tap with his fist? Good god, I'd love to be able to do that too.
  8. Joke or not, it looks like Atris is winning. Ouch, poor Bastila.
  9. I think we might be going about this whole deal of Bastila being alive the wrong way. It might not be so much as important as whether or not you were able to redeem/kill/apprentice Bastila at the end of KOTOR 1, but rather what transpired during the 5 year gap between KOTOR 1 and the start of KOTOR 2. You guys have to remember that the war between the Old Republic and the Sith is still going strong, so there's a good chance that Bastila might have become a casualty of war along with a rebel fleet or had gotten lost along with Revan, or heck, whatever else you might think could have happened.
  10. If you're so tolerant, then why can't you tolerate us bunch of "misguided" people bent on making fun of the goths?
  11. Both the PT and OT Star Wars movies had romance between the characters and by gosh, that's what I want to in order to satisfy the Star Wars experience that I expect from KOTOR2. If romance isn't your cup of tea or an essential ingredient in what you deem to be your own ideal Star Wars roleplaying experience, then feel free to skip right past that part in the game when the option for romance comes up. If you want to bash people who put a heavy empthasis on having of romance plot in a game based on Star Wars, then you should probably go bash George Lucas for having romance being such an important part of the Star Wars magic as well.
  12. I'm more worried about whether or not if the developers intends to impose exclusive contents on only a specific system while denying their counterparts the said content. I've never been a fan of such practices and am curious to see just exactly what direction the developers are planning to take with this announcement.
  13. Hopefully none at all aside from the main character. I always felt that it was a big shame that I played through KOTOR with a party composed predominantly of Jedi characters, since there were so much combat and the other characters just didn't have the same amount of punch as the Jedi did.
  14. Whoa, you guys put me to shame with the amount of money you were able to conserve. I used up most of my money on weapons, grenades, etc. In the end I couldn't buy some of the crystals that I had wanted on the Yavin station, not to mention any of the items there. I forgot to mention that the problem was consistent throughout the game for me, I did end up with a decent amount in the end but I needed the money back mid-way in the game.
  15. One of the biggest problems that I had encountered while playing KOTOR was that money shortage was a constant problem, especially near end game where those fancy items on the station in the Yavin system was concerned. Now I understand that good deeds should satisfy the people who choose the LS path but can the developers seriously consider making some side quests that doesn't leave the players a poor bum on the verge of being broke?
