  1. Hm.... there have been improvements made. For example, enemy ships won't be your only targets... and one of the stages with it has non-enemy targets you can blow up... I think one of the improvements is that it's tied more to situations where it makes sense than random space encounters. -Akari
  2. There are more models. There's also more head varities (both in terms of models and retextured models). As far as spoken lines go, I don't know. I think you'll find the game all around more dialogue heavy than KotOR1 but that's just the impression I get. -Akari

  6. Well, you can break down non-chemical equipment into generic 'parts'. You can then utilize those 'parts' to assemble something else. You can break down chemical stuff (med packs, stims, etc.) into generic 'chemicals'. You then use those 'chemicals' to assemble some chemical item. This stuff isn't finalized yet, really. I'll probably doing a detailed pass over it next week to get it finished, so there's not really much else I can say right now. No... he doesn't. -Akari
  7. Hm.. looking at earlier screen shots I think I know what you're referring to. That planet isn't announced yet, so I can't say anything. Interesting. Must be story stuff. Hm. It will be upgradable... you can talk to it... it will help in combat... it's a non-animal... It will start out belonging to one character in specific, but that can change over the course of the story... I could, but I'd have to dig through some tables and that'd be more time consuming than I can afford right now. -Akari
  8. You start out as one of the three Jedi classes available in KotOR1. I believe your starting alignment is neutral'ish. Eventually you switch to one of the six prestige classes. I imagine that once you pick a prestige class, you can't ever change classes after that. So no, there are no beginning Sith classes. -Akari
  9. I'm doing good all around. Just working on fixing the Swapping Weapons action into being a combat-queueable action at the moment. So that you could queue something like: Force Lightning Critical Strike Switch Weapons (To pull out your lightsaber or something) Before today, clicking on the switch weapons action would cause it to fire immediately and clear your combat queue. Otherwise I'm passing the time between compiles with you all. -Akari

  11. I can't say at this time. Yeah. I don't. I haven't heard an estimate thrown around yet. Hm... I'm looking over the models and there's a good number that I don't recognize from KotOR1. But I don't want to say for certain that they're new, because I don't know which ones are actually being used in the game, personally. -Akari

  16. Can't say, sorry. That's press release material. They will be. I don't know about new models but I do know there's new textures on them. I would imagine that there's some new models as well, but don't know for certain. There are feats for them. There's also flourishes for them. Nope. All the saber colors should be included with the shipped game. -Akari

  19. City planet? Point to a screen shot in specific? I think the one that's been in the screen shots lately is on Onderon. Where was this Queen mentioned, anyway? Was it a preview article or something? I don't know anything about this. I so totally don't know. But I'm going to put this on my list of things to ask a designer whenever I get a chance. Yeah. It'll be used for at least one character. More if the designers come up with other things to do with it. As a non-coffee drinker, I'm not sure.   20. So I'm working in the office this weekend. During the normal weekdays I'm blessed with the constant distraction of designers and other programmers to give my mind breaks from glaring at code and giving me something to do when waiting on compiles. But since hardly anyone's here today and probably not tomorrow, I need something else to distract me, lest I get too much done. So... what do people want answered specifically? Try to keep your questions as specific as possible. I won't reveal story details though *taps the trusty sphere of ignorance*, but just about anything else I'll at least try to answer as long it isn't asking something I'm not allowed to reveal. And if I can't answer it for some reason, I'll at least let you know. -Akari

  22. The picture at the top of the thread is a player-selectable head for the PC looking rather DarkSide'y. The hooded figure in the other picture is a party member that has yet to be announced. Neither picture displays that Atris character everyone's always talking about. -Akari

  25. I'm not sure about the 'in use' problem for effects. I'll look into it. It hasn't come up internally so far. As far as the missing triggers stuff by moving fast goes, I've made some tweaks to how triggers fire off to address that very issue. So far it seems to be solved. -Akari
