  1. Because I can't seem to edit my post I'll point out that my human - I - will be Chaotic Good, if such a system is in the game (I haven't seen weekly/monthly dev logs yet).
  2. Do you have a specific reason you could mention? I'm curious because the statement is so vague, .
  3. Pledged today and bought the expansion and the Obsidian Order perk, and completed the survey. Do I still need to put my name choice in here? If so, I'd like to be Windscythe of the Obsidian Order.
  4. I like game romances in the sense they can offer some interesting and fun game-play. Marriage and attachment to one person could bring said person into a dangerous situation, given your character's adventurous occupation or past, and create a sense of urgency to help the person who's been with you for so long. It could also - in other games, not necessarily PoE - lead to a legacy of sorts, creating a family to continue the 'legend' of your name or house. Should it be an inherent game-play requirement because it's a role-playing game? No, but it could be a nice side offering, dependent on the time it would take to implement it. Something like romance would be more a consideration before heavy engine development as it'd tie into a lot of facets throughout development that would create a high potential for introducing new bugs into the system if implemented late.
  5. I'll be playing as human, at least for the first play-through. I love being immersed in games and to experience that fully I feel I need to try and represent myself in the game, so I almost always play as a human, and base my traits and attributes on what I think are my own if I were in that world. After a few play-throughs I may create a new character that is mostly human but with variance, but that doesn't happen often.
  6. I enjoy puzzles if they're meaningful, that is, tied into the lore and to serve a purpose. For example, a lock mechanism with pressure plates to protect an ancient vault, or riddles that lead to an otherwise hidden location with something amazing in either lore or actual item. Throwing a random puzzle in to cross a river or something is, however, random and serves no purpose, so it's those I dislike. Luckily I have great faith in Obsidian based on their prior work, so I know we've nothing to worry about with PoE, .
  7. I'd love painted portraits akin to Baldur's Gate 2, I think the artistic feel adds a lot more to the style of the GUI and the game in general, since they're traditionally similar to pen and paper RPGs (or, in the case of BG and NWN, using actual DnD rulesets).
  8. Backing now will save you $10-20 upon release, plus you'll get the perks from whichever tier you back here. KS rewards are strictly for KS backers unless otherwise mentioned, they're not connected in any way besides supporting the same game. I'd say it's definitely worth backing now, I just did, haha.
