  1. Eh? When I went through I got to the stand off between the remote and goto but nothing else happend after that. Is something missing here? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, a lot is missing. If you look up the thread about cut ending stuff you will find HK-47 was supposed to turn up, then some HK-51s. HK could destory G0-T0 or G0-T0 could get him to destroy the remote. All got cut becuase it relied on things from the cut HK factory. The dialogue is all still in the files though.
  2. I couldn't agree more. I wish you had some [Lie] dialogue options with your companions, so you can say nice things you don't mean to win influence with the ones who lean to the light side, rather than have to mean it an get LSP or be petty and nasty to them. There was a nice line in the first game by I think one of the merchants on Korriban about how just because someone was Sith they didn't have to be a thug. I wish both games had let you do that, it could have worked really well with the influence, corrupt your companions not just be mean to them.
  3. The Palpatine looks normal in eps 1 and 2 becuase he can hide his Sith nature from the Jedi (presumably Kreia is doing something similar in KotoR II). Look at him when he is in Darth Sideous mode and he is all pale and wrinkled. You will see this much more clearly in Episode III, just watch the trailer or look at the preview pictures floating around the web. Pale, wrinkled and bad teeth Sideous wielding a lightsaber. There are also picture of Anakin with his eyes going all yellow and evil.
  4. The Sith may well not know what happened to here. Last common knowledge among them was she was Malak's apprentice and on the Star Forge. They may think she is dead and/or Sith. I imagine post KotoR her loyalties are much more to Revan than the Jedi Council. She may actively leave, or just be helping Carth keep the Republic strong (which given her Battle Meditation is probably best done being with the fleet or other Republic forces) when the Council remnants go into hiding. If she is travelling with Carth and Republic forces she would be a tough target to reach, she is also probably pretty badass by this point, and could pur
  5. What about it is any worse than anything else shown in the game? Sion beating up Treya, and later cuting her hand off is in there. So is getting Visas to sacrifice herself. Sion beats up Atton and cuts his arm off is suddenly worse becuase it is all the same character and he dies? Given the game is full of people dying? There isn't any reason to assume suddenly there would be blood everywhere or something, given the bloodless nature of the game (even with swords), so why would it rate M?
  6. Actually I think they are two different endings. The first if you go light side and the generator is activated, the second if you go dark side and it isn't. As for the Star Wars is not about darkness, I can only think Yminale hasn't watched the same movies I have. It may not be about it, but there is plenty there. Sure it's melodrama, and the bad buys are really bad, and the good guys pretty good, and the god guy win in the end. Emphasis though is definitely on "in the end". On the way pretty much the entire Jedi order are first weakened, then hunted down and killed. A big, destructive civil war, the people of Naboo are rounded up into concentration camps and entire planet blown up. I guess if you find religious purges and genocide light hearted it's all a giggle. Not to mention Qui-Gon getting killed, we know Pademe dies though maybe not on screen. Anakin's mother gets tortured to death, Leia and Han are both tortured, Luke has his hand cut off. Is that not dark? There isn't lots of blood everywhere, but then there wouldn't be in game either.
  7. I found that even with all the infulence I could get, with most characters in KotoR II there were much less conversations I could have with them than the characters in KotoR I. Kriea is the most obvious exception, as you talk to her a lot, and Atton basically spills his whole life story in one go when he confesses. Everyone else only seems to have a couple of conversations, and you can in many cases have them pretty much all at once (Mira, Disciple). So you just have one conversation with them and that's pretty much it, except when they comment on an action. By contrast the other party members in KotoR I have a lot more to say. For the human characters you get pretty much their life stories as you level up, plus the (often funny) conversations they have with each other while in you active party which was missing this time around. They also all have their own side quest thing with some one from their past, and comment on you actions. If less NPCs would give that depth in KotoR II I would find it a good trade off. Of course the cut ending stuff would add some depth to them too.
