  1. so is not for cipher himself but is the game that become easier whatever you play you mean?
  2. Do you think having 2 cipher (one me based on damage and the other npc focused only on CC) let hard mode become too easy?
  3. I'm not an expert of it, but i read on the forum that is a quite effective build, maximise accuracy over DR sounds good to me, since your damage are based on the crits. Wait for more expert voice anyway
  4. Hi all i decided for my hard run to go with a cipher or a rogue, for my chiper the idea is of an adventurer with light or medium armor that can do well a lot of things. I don't care of extreme min maxing, i like the RP part a lot, but i want to make an efficent character, that can hit hard in melee and do some pretty spellcasting. And i hate firearms (i only like the pistol but i'm not use it for my build). For attribute i'm going to take: Might: 16 Dex: 20 Con: 8 Perception: 8 Int: 18 Resolve: 10 (high dex for recovery time of armor) My race will be Wood Elf, for roleplay reason, and the +5 to accuracy will affect spellcasting too from far (or for warbow in build 2). For talent choice i want to focus on doing big spikes of damage in melee and cast some damaging spell later: Biting Whip, a weapon group focus (probably Pike's and Greatswords one), Two Handed Style, Vulnerable Attack, Draining Whip, Bloody Slaughter. An alternative build use both ranged and melee weapon: Biting Whip, adventurer weapon focus (estoc and warbow), two handed style, Vulnerable attack, Penetrating Shot, Draining Whip or Bloody Slaughter The third build is a dual wield one: Biting Whip, ruffian weapon focus (sabre and stiletto) or noble (rapier and dagger), two weapon style, Vulnerable attack, Draining Whip, Bloody Slaughter Build 2 is more talent expensive to be efficent in melee and ranged, but is the concept i like the most. For either build i'm going to take damage and buffing spell. If someone can help me improve my builds i really appreciate that. Ps: Going with a grieving mother only focused on CC with either a cipher or rogue damage oriented builds will ruin my run? (i mean if it become too easy) Thank you all in advance and sorry for my bad english
  5. Is Worth investing in penetrating shots? and what about warbow or hunting bow, wich one you value the best?
  6. I read that hunter bow is strong, maybe i can try a build with sone ibtellugence to boost duration of debuff
  7. The version is the pre hotfix one, .54 instead of .56 After the patch my game says v1.0.3.0524. Do you mean it should be 1.0.3.0526 with the hotfix? Anyway, the problem without the hotfix - as I understood it - was just with hired underlings not being able to unlock doors and containers. Not an issue for me. Exactly what you said
  8. The version is the pre hotfix one, .54 instead of .56
  9. Like the title says, im downloading that right now :D
  10. Both are viable on Hard if you want either for some thematic reason. Dual-wield/2h or Arbalest/Gunpowder weapons are better in terms of damage though. I was thinking about a swashbuckling type of character or an archer, so the choice is for flavour , but even if dps is inferior is a lot worse or can put out some nice damage?
  11. As the topic title said, anyone that have experience with Warbow Build or Rapier Single handed style can share to me he's experience? those 2 type of combination can be viable on hard? I plan to take hit to crit converter and stack accuracy for both style, so i want to ask if someone can share with me he's experience and help me decide wich one to pick, thanks and sorry for my english
  12. If you have an item that gives you a +1 to int and one that gives you a +2 to int, then the +1 bonus won't be applied because of the +2. Bonuses to the same stat do not stack. Having multiple items that give a bonus to the same stat is meaningless in this game. Thank you , have to find how high are the checks xD
  13. Ok thanks to all, indecided between intelligence and perception, but seems like you need high int for some coiche. how many piece of gear can you enchant for stats?
  14. So a perception character alwayas notice particular things, intellect is always problemsolving andresolve is leadership all the time? Thats what im asking, how the interaction change from mental attribute to mental attribute (im interested in wich one to rise for rp purpose)
  15. Hi all, i just want to know how the 3 different mental attribute influence the conversation, what's the difference in disposition and approach for the situations for each one? They have some cap for checks? Thank you all in advance
  16. Thank you all for the answers, so is better to go potd to avoid a easy gamme, i keep that in mind
