I hear you, maybe she seems aloof...but are people like Cruz warm and charming?I can see the Trump and Sanders appeal but for me I think Hilary comes across as sincere and resolute...I like that about her Cruz has appeal for the autisticly inclined who are striving for idealogical purity. Any normal person who can read basic body and facial language recognizes him as the rat he is. He is the cartoon caricature of a weasel-faced politician saying anything to get the vote. Aye, he's essentially hijacked much of the Paul's message and even strategy for getting elected, excepting unlike Ron, he's as sincere as a man with five mistresses when he tells his wife she's the only one for him. Some are dumb enough to believe him, others see through it, and lament they don't really have a candidate this go around. Yeah, i would like to inject to go as far to say that Ron was more than a mere politician. He was on a mission, and such things requires strength of character not found in most politicians. For that he has my respect, despite not necessarily agreeing with him on some matters.

I somehow suspect that The Donald would beat each one you in a game of chess. That being said, i see him as a necessary step in lowering the pressure of the republic succumbing further into Caesarism (Bernie would've had the same effect) with letting the forces outside the establishment to play around for a little while. If he justly fails on his campaign promises, well at least he tried and the populance will want someone more competent the next time. If he succeeds, then it will show that it was high time for kicking out the current establishment. It's a win-win in the long run. That's why i wanted Bernie vs Trump in the general election. Either way, the public and the republic would've won. Even if the media is correct and he is the nazicommiedevil incarnate who will cleanse the lands of the pure and innocent, then why not just go out in a most entertaining blaze of glory instead slowly disappearing like in a whimper? ...Right. Understandable retort considering what the media portrays. The shock of being treated better there than in most places in Europe took a while for me to accept. Wasn't intended as voicing skepticism, more like... sure, they'll be genuinely friendly, nice and polite to you as long as you look and behave like someone belonging to their in-group. But I'm also pretty sure they'll treat you with considerably more... let's say, distance, if you're not that keen on the whole God business, or - heavens forbid - happen to be non-white, non-straight, and visibly a foreigner. Based on my travels, i would say that whites (and especially nordics) have the weakest ingroup/outgroup-mentality and thus, relatively speaking, the most welcoming kind for all the oddballs of the world. I doubt there's any place in the world though where being an outsider to an ingroup is naturally or culturally celebrated. But its a good thing you Nordics are so welcoming, this is something to be seen in a very positive way On the contrary it is also the greatest weakness (the strengths have already been pointed out) proned to abuse, since they are incapable to understand that there are whole countries or ethnic groups that have moral particularism as reigning supreme out of cultural reasons and not because of ignorance and poverty.

In the spirit of the topic, i would like to dispell the fiction that middle America, namely the part with all those small towns with churches and a main square are not like how it is depicted in movies like "Deliverance" from Hollywood and mass-media at large would like to portray. On the contrary, i found America's heart in those places. Incredibly polite and nice people abound. You work hard, you take pride in your achievements, you help strangers in need and you attend service on sunday.

I hoping that the flow is stopped, most people are sent back (Syria stabilized, yadayadayada) and protective measures and processes are established in order to send help at the zone of crisis instead of importing them. Because otherwise i fear that the poem by Kipling becomes a reality:

Yes and no. There has been crimes that people have discussed, but mostly public discussion has moved to other topics (like Panama papers). Although this is most likely because our government made backroom deal with Putin and now refugees can't cross Finland-Russia border and also Denmark and Sweden closed their border which means that refugees can't come from Sweden either and people can't anymore board ships coming to Finland without EU passport or visa, so there is no more refugees from Germany either. Pretty much, some sanity has been restored. For the time being. Germany is doing well in being dissolving itself.
