FYI, for anyone else experiencing this issue. I was able to resolve it by updating to the latest AMD Adrenaline drivers. https://www.amd.com/en/support/downloads/drivers.html/processors/ryzen/ryzen-7000-series/amd-ryzen-9-7940hs.html I installed the 25.2.1 drivers, but it's possible the 24.12.1 drivers would have done the job. This may not help everyone, but it seems like most on the thread are AMD at least.

My laptop has already downloaded it, but of course even after restarting Steam on my PC it still just says Update Queued

If you have your original %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Pillars of Eternity II\Achievements\global.achievements file you can restore it. Just overwrite the existing one with a backup of your old one

I didn't even realize this happened. My 11 year old daughter wanted to play a Druid/ Ranger multi-class, and really liked the Shifter. I suggested Stalker so she would get a bonus when they were fighting side by side. She was more about the pet being cute, but yeah it doesn't really make sense the pet would just disappear.

Is it just assumed that you destroy/sink the enemy ship after boarding it? I would think taking it over if it's better than the Defiant, or at least hauling it back to a port to sell it would make sense. I've only actually been in one ship battle so far and didn't have a clue what I was doing.

My Problem with Xoti is she sounds too much like Applejack from the My Little Pony Cartoons. And no, I never watched it by choice, but I have two daughters that used to watch one of those movies in particular over and over and over and...

Ugh, I swear I looked all over that screen for anything to do with Camera and totally missed it. Much better now, thanks!

When I am playing I find the camera follows the character I have selected. I can see where this could be useful, but I find it very annoying. I try to click on something while I'm walking and end up missing what I try to click because my camera moved. I found a "Toggle Follow Camera - World Map" option in Settings > Controls, but this doesn't seem to do anything. Is there another way to disable camera follow? I'd rather have control and move the camera where I want it myself. thanks
