  1. Yeah, Bastilla turns up if you say Revan was a LS Male If you say Revan was a LS Female, then Carth turns up saying he misses Revan. boo hoo. But no Bastilla
  2. If you, like me and many others, decided to side with the general and attack the queen, and before you know it, you find yourself attacking one of the jedi masters with no possible outcome. oops. Here's a way around it Save the game after you have done the deed and returned to the ebon hawk Download the SAVEGAME Editor at http://www.pcgamemods.com/8800 (I believe) Open it up, and find your saved game open Globals > Numerics change the field 000_JediFound to 4 change 000_JediKilled to 0 also: Make sure 000_Kavar_Dead is set to 0 This means that you have found all jedi and havent killed them yet. open the save game and TALK TO T3 BEFORE TALKING TO KREIA. tell him to give you a list of the jedi masters. if he says all are alive you've done the job Any problems contact me.
  3. If you are still looking at the forums there is a very easy way to fix the problem, which I did: Download the SAVEGAME Editor at http://www.pcgamemods.com/8800 (I believe) Under your saved gamego to: Globals > Numerics change 000_JediFound to 4 change 000_JediKilled to 0 This means that you have found all jedi and havent killed them yet. Any problems contact me.
  4. I agree with you all. It's not that he was a piss-easy boss, it was that he was the coolest boss ever, i mean, speaking pure evil, that mask etc. I'd have liked to know his character. But we get nothing on him. nothing, except the little cutscene with him in Some of you may have noticed he had special combat animations. But he was barely able to use them, before panting on the floor like a little girl.
  5. Wasn't as bad as Bao'Dur with his "Yes General?" "Never mind" Useless.
  6. Does anyone play Pazzak? I mean, really? I gave it a go a few times back in KOTOR1. But I'm sorry to say, it bored me. I wanted to get back in the arena. I never gave it another go in KOTORII. Did anyone else? Just interested.
  7. Yeah, I'm starting a DS sentinel this time through with a similar mindset, but you'll be surprised by how tempting it is to not be a jerk in dialogues and end up being one o' them light sided, stasis fieldin' jedi hippies. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Interesting, I'd like to do that too, I wanted to do a character where he has accepted the fact that he can't use the force anymore, and wants vengance. but doesn't use the force. Just hangs on to his lightsaber. other than that, he's a nice guy.
  8. Mr. D Simpson deserves a Knighting... Thank ye for the FAQs.
  9. In my opinion, the game is actually revolved around the lightside storyline. I mean, if my character was THAT evil he'd go 'screw this, i'm going home' This game is a LS storyline, but modified for DS lines.
  10. There's a fantastic walkthrough here at: http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox/file/s..._kotor_ii_a.txt very detailed work. Hats off to, DSimpson.
  11. I would think that Obsidian has intended the game to be played on the 'light' side at least the first time round. I think this, because many of the dialog options involve 'jerk/thug' options. for example: "Hey, you, would you help me out? I Need to find my Wife!" "Sure, wait here" - Involves a quest, full of experience and a new plot or "Piss off and die" - Gives you nothing See, the Dark side involves telling everyone to go away, or to kill everyone. this means less story. an evil character is less rational, when confronting a main plot line, talking to a character, you can either: 'Please awsner my questions, I need to know something' or 'Die, fool' an alternative game, but less effective in storytelling. for this reason KOTOR should be played in the Light for the first time. Did anyone play KOTORII the Darkside the first time round?
  12. typcially, in roleplaying games, an evil voice = evil character. It's refreshing to see this isn't always so. A good character doesn't always have to have a light, floaty voice.
  13. Yes, Zherron. That's right.
  14. oh yeah. hey, remember the guy on dantooine? The general in charge of defenses? His voice was actually quite frightening for a good character.
  15. Yes, I was discussing only the "good side" endings, since the original comment was about how Bioware has this trend of making "good side" endings really "good". <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Agreed, White. Bioware have a habit of making great endings, I think they can predict, especially where dialog options are limited, that most players will opt for a good ending. but in my opinion all endings are great. Baldur's Gate Trilogy was a legend, oh, and the music kicked arse.
  16. ah, but the story, in my opnion was better in KOTOR1. the unvieling of you to revan. fantastic piece of storytelling. (although it's a little too close to Planescape: Torment)
  17. Since we're on the subject of Baldur's Gate. I hear a BGIII is in development. Okay, this is wrong. WRONG. Baldur's gate ended on such a closing note. You just can't extend it anymore. 'sides, Bioware isn't even doing it. We know this will fail. Also: There are 4 endings in BGII - ToB. Good - Mortal Good - God Evil - Mortal Evil - God
  18. come on guys, remember Baldur's Gate 1, 2 + Expansion? Bioware KNOW how to amke games, and more importantly, end them satisfactory.
  19. 18, going on 19. Congragulations deganawida
  20. definitly. The dark side is a whole new world to KOTOR2. it would be a shame to see all that wasted dialog that obsideon so kindly made for us. Character interaction is differnt, new plots, new items. It's like a differnt game. All the way through I palyed the LS I was thinking 'damn, I can't wait until I do this for the DS" or "I wonder what they would say if I was the dark side" I'm sure you get the same effect the other way round. This game was meant to play at least twice.
  21. Nice shot, Obsidian, A good story, but poorly executed. It had unexplained plots and unfinished buisness. as many of you have already commented, it went downhill from the 'Counsil' Sequence. Looking back at KOTOR1, we see excelent story in play and kick ass endings. wrapping up everything nicely. All hail Bioware. Come back to us, we miss you. Does anyone else think Obsidion deserve another go? Or back to Bioware? Remember Baldur's Gate.
