Zoda started following Comming back to deadfire, looking for new POTD build
-
Hello everyone, Comming back to do another (maybe another few) playthroughs of the game, and I'd like a new build to do it Completed many POTD runs in many different ways (solo, duo, full party), and a variety of builds, and looking for something new (maybe). I have a few self imposed rules: no monk (maybe shattered pillar), no wizard, no potions, no scrolls. On the fence about priest too, but I guess it can slide, but only if it does mostly melee I like martial/half caster builds, and non to very little cheesy stuff. That kinda limits what I would play for POTD My most recent playthroughs (about 3 years ago) were with a dual wielding kind wayfarer + souldblade, a ghost heart + ascendant with firearms (mostly), a herald (solo), and a tactician + soulblade. At least these are what I remember, but did a bunch of other playthroughs and played many builds up to lvl 10-12. So what I'm looking for my watcher's build is a frontliner that's fairly tanky (read: can tank most encounters, even if not solo tank bosses), but still does good damge. I really like high sustain builds, like the kind wayfarer + soulblade with Sun and Moon was one of my favourite builds to play. Looking for suggestions on what build I should play next. Was thinking along the lines of mixture of fighter/barbarian/paladin/rogue/chanter/cipher. Big plus if the build uses a shield (Tutilo's Palm doesn't count) and still manages to dish out good damage. Like if there is a realiable way to force disengagement on an Unbroken. I remember trying to terrifiy enemies, but I think I did not find it super reliable. For ranged builds I like firearms (Eccea's Arcane Blaster with one handed style being my favourite flavourwise). I'll probably have a Kind Wayfarer with dual pistols somewhere in the party, maybe even the watcher with a multiclass to... probably ranger (I don't like giving up driving flight). Also considering a whildrhymer with Spearcaster, but that can pretty much go on a hireling. For items to build around, I'd love a build around: Amra, dual pistols, Lord Darryn's Voulge (maybe), The Willbreaker, Last Word (with Guardian Stance + Reckless Brigandine. Pairing it with Kind Wayfarer would be cool, but then I need to dual wield pretty much). I aim to also kill the megabosses (I actually never tried the Sigilmaster). I browsed through the forums a bunch of times, and watched many youtube videos, so I'm familiar with most well known builds, so what I'm looking is suggestions along the above lines. Pretty familiar with most game mechanics, but might not have perfect memeory about all the cool build around items or abilities anymore I started a sabre Devoted/Skald Warcaller, but not sure if it is for me. Thanks to anyone who managed to read all my rambling, if anyone can give me some cool flavourful build ideas I'd very much appreciate it

Prevent resource spawning
Eupraxion replied to Eupraxion's topic in Grounded 2: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Oh yeah, sprigs also pop through my floor -
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunatly it didn't work. Hopefully we did it correctly. Also one thing that is different is that I don't see the first buggy anywhere, not in/beneath the floor or on the map. As you can see on the second picture, the second buggy has a red line in the inner circle, the first one, doesn't have that when hovering that image. We also didn't find any option to unclaim a buggy.

Hello guys! I play a LOT of survival/base building games and always "bugs" me, when I find a nice location for my base, clear the resources, build it and then wake up the next morning, only to find everything has respawned up through my floor. Currently in I find myself cleaning my house every day in the game, because my OCD simply can't handle a clover stickup up through the floor. Earlier today, I also had an issue with grubs digging around under my foundation, so had to relocate the floor and then fight a Larva inside my house. Can we please asap have foundations prevent things from spawning? Even better if we can set the respawn prevention distance our selves from 1-10m or something like that! Thank you for a great game btw, really enjoying it so far

Tired of winning all the time yet? -
I second this, was going to comment the exact same thing. Another frustration about the current implementation on controller is that you can't hold your right thumb on the control stick while digging/chopping/smashing, because you need to hold the x button, making it far less efficient to move from one resource to another.

Grounded 2 needs to rework the “location obstructed” parameters. I want to build a pretty base that is well supported. I want the foundations to connect to the ground, but in most cases, my supports are floating because there’s ground in the way. We should be able to place foundations partially in the ground.

Cannot load shared world
Floofy replied to Floofy's topic in Grounded 2: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Yea it makes no sense and my friends can’t even try to unshare and share the world with me since I am the original host so it had to have been the update they pushed out yesterday -
Future potential updates
nirtones_852 replied to Groundedbasefan's topic in Grounded 2: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
It would be incredible if, when inside an anthill or cave, consulting the map showed us all the paths within the anthill or cave. That update would also be very useful. -
Key Bindings (Buggy Controls)
Apostolos replied to LiminalLadd's topic in Grounded 2: Feedback & Suggestions
I am in the same boat. The other problem in Steam is that you cannot request a refund after a certain amount of time playing and am well past that when running into this 'bug'..pardon the pun. I absolutely LOVED Grounded 1 and have been looking forward to this for so long and sincerely hope that the buggy controls get their own keybind section. Please fix this ASAP. Long live ESDF movement!! (seriously, this is game design 101.. never hard code anything to a keybind) -

I love the game, but I play with different key binds than the average player, for instance, I use E for moving forward, because of this, when using a buggy, I can't move forward and instead toggle gather mode, this was, needless to say, very frustrating when I discovered it. I would very much so appreciate that in a future update, we receive the ability to rebind EVERYTHING, especially buggy controls. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Buggy dying under the map
Riokutsue666 replied to OutOfTouch's topic in Grounded 2: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
IF ON A HOSTED GAME!! -- i have a fix for this, i think... log out of your friends game, and have him return his buggy to the ant hill and see if yours returns. Had this same issue with my friends buggy, hers disappeared under the map, but the icon was still there, she left and came back a couple times and it didn't fix the problem. After she logged off, I returned my buggy to ant hill, and her buggy replaced it, then after returning her buggy the the ant hill, i went and unclaimed it, word of advice.. don't put anything on the buggy if its not your hosted game, this will prevent you from loosing important items. instead drop them for your host to pick up and put on his buggy. -
