When you hover over icons in the ship combat UI, the information will sometimes get cut off. This is particularly apparent on the actual attack when you have several cannons (3 in this case). For big boxes like this (and it will be worse when you have 4-5 cannons) the hover-box should be next to the cursor instead of below it so there is enough vertical space. Maybe put it in several columns too.

 

The attached picture shows one of many such examples. This is with a 1920x1080 screen resolution.

Is this problem still in patch 1.1? The tester I asked that test ship combat does not see the issue present. Please let me know if so with an updated screenshot I've sent this one to them as well.
