I am wondering if it would make more sense to use a trickster + either a plain mage or an enchanter (depending on which spells you get on trickster) or an assassin + and illusionist...

Illusionist has a really nice passive

Trickster looses out on some sneak damage.

Imo its assasin or no-sub depending on how glass you want it.

As for the mage subs, if your picking one for spell blade I can recommend transmutation or illusion. Both can apply aoe blinds with chill fog and curse of blackend sight and get paralysis later.

Illusions image spells also help overcome the glass by buffing the heck out of your deflection stat if you go assasin.

I'm trying to figure it out too.

I really like the flavor from trickster Illusionist, but it feel like a waste of a character slot haha.

I'm not a big fan of the edginess from a Assassin/Evoker and i really dislike the Nature Godlike appearance. So, i guess, no powerbuilding for me here :(

If you focus on self buffing melee, Street fighter should work fine. Heavyish armor, pet that reduces armor penalty, open with nuke or debuff from stealth then self buff deflection and armor then go to town.
