Melusina Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Let's say I pick wild orlan troubadour/ascendant (spiritualist) with these starts (classic difficulty) mig 2 con3 dex15 per20 int18 res20 and make Eder swashbuckler and Xoti contemplative with focus on their fighting abilities, while Aloth would be a pure wizard, Serafen witch, Pellegina herald, Maia pure ranger, Tekehu theurge, and I do not plan to recruit sidekicks... Which class and party composition would be the best? https://store.steampowered.com/curator/33102093/ - Picky Gamer Girl!
Noctaem Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 minimum con should be 7. If you plan on doing damage at any point with your character, you need Might. It's the most important damage stat in the game. Your fort defense is also going to suffer greatly of course.
Melusina Posted May 13, 2018 Author Posted May 13, 2018 But, I'm not playing a damage dealer Watcher. My companions are doing damage... https://store.steampowered.com/curator/33102093/ - Picky Gamer Girl!
Noctaem Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Well if you plan on doing 0 damage, then I would make sure your CON is at least 7 and leave might where it is.
evilcat Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 (edited) Going below con 8 would require meta knowledge or very carefull play. I wouldnt recommend that. Cipher needs some might, generally a bit more of it, since you load your focus with basic attacks. If you want ascendant slash something like rogue, fighter, paladin, for ranged or barbarian, monk for melee. You just build focus faster and that is cool. If you want troubadour you could go with wizard transmutter/ilusionist. That way could dump mig. But low mig also means no heals from you, which is very limitting character. If you want support character you can recruit Tekehu Chanter Druid. DPS companions: Eder Swashbucker, pallegina Templar, Maia Scout, Serafen Barbarian/witch. Edited May 13, 2018 by evilcat 1
Melusina Posted May 13, 2018 Author Posted May 13, 2018 I went with 7con,10mig, 3dex, 20per,14int, 20res Paladin/druid liberator. https://store.steampowered.com/curator/33102093/ - Picky Gamer Girl!
Sotnik Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Having Might at 2 is perfect as long as you are roleplaying a handicapped. You can allow low constitution if you have super perfect ways of avoiding damage like invisibility, reflex, deflection and you are ranged.
