Aloth Phantom spell bug?

I remember in poe 1 the substantial and normal phantom spells for a wizard were amongst my favorites, but in this one whenever i cast it, the phantom just goes in and attacks the nearest enemy with their fists, and it does not have any spells available to it. This has to be a bug, as even in the description of the spell it mentions being able to cast spells.

 

Has anyone encountered a similar issue? any fixes?

I've had the same, I had Aloth learn Substantial Phantom at level up and when cast it has empower points but no spells and will just melee attack. Believe its a bug and just acting as the essential phantom?

I just noticed this as well. Has any developer acknowledged the problem?

Tekehu's spell creates an unarmed clone (that tries to punch others to death). I believe it's the same bug.

Same here but I noticed one thing that makes the spell still actually useful: items that give you per rest abilities get duplicated as well, and the clone can use them!

 

 

 

Might not be intended behavior... but I'll take it! As long as you don't use the charges yourself, the items become usable every encounter.

Sadly the bug ist still there after the patch...

Just wanted to confirm that 1.1. didn't fix this problem (phantoms still attack with their fists).

Poor Tekeku's watery double just stands around punching for 2 damage as well.  Sad.  Low energy!
