I have so far been unable to play the game at all. Attempting to launch PoEII through Steam, the start menu, or directly through its .exe file in the Steam folder result in an instant crash. I don't even see a loading screen. I double click, and it issues a crash report. I'd include a screenshot, but it is literally just double click = crash report, there's nothing to show.

Hey M1ST3RM1ND,

Thanks for the sending the files, and really sorry you havent been able to play the game. Ill get this bugged so it can be investigated as to why it isnt working for you. Is this happening on a Windows OS?

Thanks,

Yes, it is. Information on the OS if it helps:

Edition: Windows 10 Home

Version: 1709

OS Build: 16299.371

Having this same issue.  Made a post, waiting to get approved as it was my first post.  Been trying to find a fix for this.  Looks like it is a Steam issue, from other post and all my other games doing the same thing.  Restarting my computer seems to have let me log in.

I'm experiencing the same thing.

I assume it's the same DirectX issue Unity is having that is also impacting Battletech:

nvidia released a driver patch. I'd advise everyone to update to the latest patch. It worked for me.

Just an update, this seems to have resolved itself for me, which may be because of the aforementioned Nvidia driver patchupdate. I can play the game!  :w00t:

Hi Doug,

I have updated my drivers and am still unable to start a new game. I always get sent back to the main screen with a Loading Error Popup that says "There was an error loading the next map. Returned to Main Menu to prevent save game corruption."
