Torm51 Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 But guys, how do they compare to a DPS Fighter in terms of overall group benefit? Do they do more damage? Are they more survivable? What other major pluses and minuses are involved here when comparing the two? Try this with a fighter: In the end it's Vengeful Defeat + Second Chance (on Argwe's Adra armor) that saves the day. Would Warhammers be better as of todays game? Sabre's sharp is much less damage then the old high base damage they had. Have gun will travel.
Torm51 Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 Or wait for Meneha. Huh? What's that? A companion. She is a Barbarian. 1 Have gun will travel.
Lampros Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 Or wait for Meneha. Huh? What's that? A companion. She is a Barbarian. Ah, ok. That's what I may do. I hope she has reasonable stats. Can I retrain non-custom NPCs?
Boeroer Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 In a party a barb with a pike using Heart of Fury is also good. He can place the centre of HoF better than a dual wielder and eventually reach one or two more enemies which may boost the overall damage further than a second swing might do (because of the exponential growth of hits with every additional enemy) - in some cases. 1 Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods

Lampros Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 Got it. In that case, I will have to decide to either make Gimli Barbarian or continue as a Fighter soon. Taking a story NPC is un-thematic and would break immersion anyways.
